ok, i moved my gmail contacts on the company's google apps free account from exchange to cardev on my iphone, done, if i could do it, everyone can, i don't see the problem

I only need a gmail account for my android phone. If WP7.8 is ever released I'll have no need for gmail anymore.

Well, my primary account is on GMail (got early invite). It sucks they limit the options. On the other hand, they offer the standards-compliant methods and ActiveSync for the paid accounts, what makes sense.
