Nice features, but the + $100 is stingy. Phones are getting way, way too expensive in this downturn economy... We'll see more and more people with outdated, screen cracked phones.

Nothing stops one buying a second hand Pixel, flash on it CalyxOS or GrapheneOS and call it a day.

Reality is that its very easy to get by with cheaper phones. I feel the flagship phones mostly sell to people who just automatically buy "the best" or to phone "enthusiasts".

I ordered a pro yesterday cost a fortune but my phone broke last week so i needed something and always wanted to try the google experience - plus it came with a free watch that i hope to sell on FBM to recoup some of the cost

I've never spent more than $80 on a phone and I have no intention to ever do so. Really the only gripe I have with my phone's hardware is the read performance, but since I tend to use the same few apps, they're loaded in memory so they typically load quickly enough.

We've long since passed the times when Pixel was bang for buck phones. They have the a-series for that now. Although even those can cost a bit too much imo. Until they add back the headphone jack I'll stick to my 4a for as long as possible.

I ordered the non-pro. My first Pixel and my first non-budget phone since the galaxy s4. I use T-Mobile so I used the 24 month payment plan. Now just have to wait for Spigen to release their case for it.
