Check this one out, over on the Spanish Twitter account of Aorus, Gigabyte posted a render of a graphics card showing a rather weird-looking angled cooling solution.... Gigabyte shows rather weird triangular design concept graphics card cooling
Hey, look at it again, the fan is on the left side [or top side if its inside the PC case] of the card, not the right/bottom like always. And the traingular style is so it can fit better near the CPU cooler and the rear VRM heatsink

Guys the picture is probably just a mock up/render done badly as the PCI bracket is literally on the wrong way around.
finally, I waited for two days for all the airflow gurus to notice that 😀

Well here is your answer: Gigabyte Puts An End To The Horizontal vs. Vertical Mounting Debate With An Angled Shroud Design Concept In some cases, the orientation of the graphics card has caused issues. Most of the issues stem from vertical mounting choking out the airflow to the GPU since the intake of the card is too close to the side panel. Vertical mounting is more aesthetically pleasing, but some cases don't have enough room so the fans end up having little airflow as the card gets placed too close to the side panel. Gigabyte has sort of found the solution. They have literally gone halfway in between horizontal and vertical mounting with an angled shroud.
