10% faster than 780Ti is still good (not great) as this is not big daddy Maxwell and still on 28nm.

10% faster and at a lower price if this info is anywhere, the truth is a win win. big daddy maxwell interests me tbh. I can wait

I can't wait and I would love to see this against a 1250Mhz 780Ti. Oc'ed and stock. 😉

I think the watercooled plunger sounds like the most interesting thing tbh. I mean, think about that. You must really be doing something wrong if you need your plunger to be watercooled. Probably should see a doctor. For realz: I'm not upgrading until the 8--'s hit. There's no point if the 7's aren't gonna fully support dx12 (it says they will partially support dx12 on wikipedia).

So far so good, 8gb looks plenty. Although I was expecting more then 10%, at least 20-25%, kinda like 580gtx vs 680gtx. 🤓

680 is more than 20-25% faster than a 580, I owned sli 580 and sli 680

Both of you are on full GK110's. I'm still on a pair of cut down 104's so if this card is 10% faster that is close to 670SLI performance. I would go for two under water of course and a larger framebuffer is welcome (currently rocking 2GB).

that 8gb looks highly unlikely, probably going to be 4gb

Eh I don't think it's too unlikely. All next gen games on consoles are going to throw everything they can into memory. If devs are going to want to port without having to like do aggressive optimization on the PC the GPU's are going to need to match what the consoles have.

you may have some 8gb cards, but regular joe cards will come in 4gb flavors. the other way 8gb would have 16gb cards with double the memory. that is highly unlikely, considering amd cards have historically been more generous on the vram from. without knowing the exact specs its all speculation

Learn to read between the lines, I was saying making only 10% vs 780ti looks kinda weak, instead it should be at least 20-25%, better yet like 680gtx was to 580gtx what ~ 25-35% on avg. And 8gb is very possible, 4gb will be minimum for sure..

680 was and still impressive card, GTX880 could be 10% faster than 780ti kinda funny. but it may oc way better and have other stuff that might make it even better choice. I wonder what your all guru crystal ball says 😀

I can only read what you post, maybe be clearer next time you post? then there won`t be any misunderstandings

I fail to see how 20-25% is 25-35%. Maybe I'm just stupid. Anyway, I'll skip this and most likely upgrade when 20nm are out.

yes looks like :P Ok lets nitpick, at least 20-25%, or kinda like by 580 vs 680. Guess I missed the word OR, I thought comma was obvious enough., yeah talk about nitpicking:smile: lets not get carried away.

Idk myself, this 580gtx is already at its last breaths at "max" 900mhz oc, need something new soon, but yeah 20nm yes looks more promising 🙂

Who cares? It wont utilize that memory anyway, not on that chip.

Looks like you underestimated the difference between a 580 and 680 and are backpeddeling. I also like eclap failed to see how 20-25 is 25-35 guess I`m stupid like him
