Lets wait for Windows 10 user experience with this hotfix. Is it still sluggish driver ?

The fact that it's not memtioned in the release notes doesn't instill a lot of hope.

What driver is sluggish and how? Are you two talking about the same issue?

Yea I use Windows 10, and have no idea what this sluggish is they're talking about.

Sorry, I was talking about the taskbar/acrylic effects being broken. I'm not confirming the "sluggish" reports.

Nice! Another new driver. Do you think NVIDIA will ever update the rather dated looking control panel? My personal grievance with it is the very basic and poorly implemented profile system that means I have to use a third-party tool, NVIDIA Inspector, to get the most out of them. Also, the profiles themselves have dozens of typos as well as a few incorrect or missing executables that have never been fixed over the years, which is why I back up the profiles and edit in the changes using the NVIDIA SLI Profile Tool Manager and Notepad++ 's excellent Comparison module for each new driver. It is also quite jarring how different GeForce Experience and the control panel are. Although, I'd never use an AMD graphics card, I do prefer how much better their software looks and you can even overclock from the control panel, something that NVIDIA don't support in theirs.

Personally I don't spend enough time to really care about looks regarding the nvcpl. With taht said it's a multibillion dollar company I do think it might be time to upgrade. I tested an AMD card fairly recently. There are two things in the amd cp that are missing from the nvcpl (That I noticed). A way to import/export all your settings and the ability to overclock (like afterburner or other tools do). The import export is sorely missed. Amd had something similar to nvidia inspector but amd somehow made them take it down (Dmca?). I'm grateful nv allows profile inspector and all the features it brings even though most of that should be covered under the nvcp.

I like the simplicity of the Nvidia control panel. Whenever I install new drivers there's only 2 things I change and then I never see it again.

Can't wait until Nvidia Control Panel gets a modern look. Almost every program I use has gotten redesigns as of late and NVCP is one of the last rebels to continue with such an old style. I didn't care that for modernity until going into Windows 11 for the first time. After that there was no turning back. Even installed Razer Synapse 4 Beta and loving every second of it. I know it's not a priority for everyone, but I literally can't wait till it gets a makeover, even if bugs are potentially introduced at the beginning.

I totally agree with you. Too lazy for a multi zillion company.

System feels ok with these however Starfield has blocky squares flashing rapidly on the terrain The texture issue may be due to a texture mod I use so can anyone confirm the same? Assassins creed mirage runs good

The CP is fine for tweakers like us, the other 99% installs trash GFE anyways and never opens the CP. Just let us keep what works please.
