Time to give RTX Video Super Resolution another go. The previous version was rather power hungry and didn't adapt well to different types of content. EDIT: Quick comparison with quality level 1, 1080p to 4K: https://imgsli.com/MjE0Mzgw It still can't tell details from noise, for example the mole on Sakurai's cheek (guy on the right) disappears with VSR, this happens on quality level 4 as well. It does some nice things to the white wall in the back, the texture of the grey chair and especially the string linking the segments of the office curtains. Power usage at quality level 1 is good, on a 3080 Ti : 48W with VSR enabled. 36W with VSR disabled. Overall it's still a mixed bag due to the fact that it can't discern noise from tiny details, people faces in particular suffer a lot.

its time to cut off geforce 700 and 900 series support, no? these cards can´t run nothing decently today, and cutting support can improve performance and remove old codies in the drivers

That's how software development works. They worked on the R545 branch's featureset earlier this year, and have been working on R550 driver features for the past months, but by the time drivers are made public in this form, months and months of bug fixes, QA and minor patches have been done.

One of things for 1.5: - NVIDIA updates its DLSS for video streaming RTX tech with improved upscaling and the ability to de-artifact native resolution streams.

Installed it on top of previous drivers, acrylic effects (transparency) on taskbar/start seem to be gone for whatever reason even after OS reboot, Win10 GTX1060. Anyone else?

Broken for me as well, guessing we'll see a hotfix driver sooner or later

The oil paint look got even worse. Seems this is the new "image quality by Nvidia", kinda confirms my worries about ray reconstruction development...
Same, i somewhat got over it in cyberpunk but for vids it looks like one of those AI made oiled image generators

So this is the highly anticipated AI driver nvidia announced a year ago ??? There seems to be a lot of AI elements in these drivers other than vsr 1.5

DPC-L update while using Chrome (mostly YouTube video playback in the background tab and forum browsing - HDMI 2.1 4k120@12bit + small DVI LCD). Still good. https://i.imgur.com/g5ZpjEo.jpg

Close to unacceptable isn't really good. There might be rare situations where latency caused by other driver accumulates with that of the Nvidia driver, and then an ever so random audio crackling may occur. The truth is Nvidia is really bad at getting 100% rid of this issue, similar to AMD screwing up dynamic VRAM clocking with some display timings/configurations.
