Just tested Skyrim on my GTX 680M: 306.97 WHQL - Savegame 1: 27FPS - Savegame 2: 30FPS - Savegame 3: 33FPS 310.33 Beta (promises up to 11% boost in Skyrim) - Savegame 1: 27FPS - Savegame 2: 30FPS - Savegame 3: 34FPS lol
GTX680M != GTX680. Using mods will only limit the gains even more.

Did you guys install on-top or remove old, clean and then fresh install?

Just install on top, if you run into a problem, install fresh.

Of course not. But it's a downclocked 670. Same architecture. And there is literally 0% improvement really where should be. If I use no graphic mods I will certainly get CPU bottlenecked at some point, and I SHOULD see an improvement over the previous driver in Skyrim. And I'm not considering that 1 alternating FPS in Savegame 3 an improvement :P EDIT: Oh yeah and the new idle core clock is 405 instead of 135, anyone else got this? Got no programs running in the background, killed every process apart of windows ones to test it 🙂

no performance improvements on 660Ti? 🙁

660 is mentioned so yes ti as well, has someone checked those on BF3? BL2 still have performance issues with physx, but this week gearbox should release the patch.

why do you say 'this week'? i hope they include benchmark with patch.

Wishful thinking

Yes indeed. I meant that, considering the 11% gains on GTX680 falls as low as 6% on the GTX660 (with a lower average framerate than the 680 obviously), with your ~30 fps average, you would be looking at more or less GTX660 level gains, so ~1.8 fps more. That's pretty limited anyway me thinks, and Nvidia style means *in some special cases only*. BTW, 30 fps looks low for such a GPU and Skyrim.. Am I wrong :3eyes: ? My OC'd 6950 is supposedly slower and never dips below 60 FPS running @ 2560x1600. No mods though.

I do get the same idle clocks as before on my 680. I guess this stuff is not that optimized for mobile GPUs - that could explain the low to inexistant gains 😛

You need to install an ENB and enjoy HQ SSAO+Indirect Lightning+SkyLightning. It kills your fps as you can see, but the game looks gorgeos 🙂 And yeah I just read nvidias release notes more carwfully. Those marketing pros added in a lower section that it only counts on "high" preset and indoors... lol

AO is still as glitchy as f*** in Guild Wars 2 which is disappointing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i have tested this driver on a low end 520GT and i saw improvements in heaven benchmark and 3dmark11 , i suspect a gain all across the board indeed a nice welcome performance boost and confirmed by my testing , well done nvidia , awsome amazing performance drivers , go guys go get them.

I read that fix is exist and it on testing in the next 24hr, so it might be this week tbh they should do it this week already.

Excellent driver. Best for a long time. O/Cs seem stable. Running cooler than R300-306 I think. Fan hasn't kicked in yet. Has finally fixed my brightness slider as well. Not had that functioning since ?R296. I'd forgotten what a very bright screen looked like. Very happy.

Anyone tried this driver and latest physX system software with Borderlands 2 yet? they still have yet to make a driver that addresses some crap utilization performance in it and since this driver has some good gains in other games along with new PhysX software, it could benefit.

There might be a bit of performance gain in BL2 but i might be wrong, performance issues still exist and will be fixed in the future patch for the game, good chance it will come this week
