Denial:

DLSS lowers VRAM usage. RT increases it but he's saying with RT on DLSS OFF it was close to 10GB limit and that's why DLSS is needed with those cards.
What he said....:D Point of fact though, DLSS wasn't off, it's not available to me.....not that it's needed given the performance I'm getting out of my RX 6900 XT.

Game runs perfectly fine without the feature so nobody cares. What we are talking about here is that 3070 is out of vram. Paying so much for it and now even 2080ti is beating it. That must suck.

Undying:

Game runs fine even without it and looks better.
I don't know, it gives cards like the 2060 a longer life span. I really can't understand some people's hate for DLSS and AMD FXSR. If you don't want it fine, then turn it off. But for people with struggling hardware, this is a god send imo.

Gosh, are you referring to me? As Undying had pointed out, I have double the VRAM of your 8GB RTX 3070 and don't need DLSS, besides my card is powerful enough to run Doom Eternal balls out natively, so to say, without any problem. Btw, that was an extremely weak attempt at trolling, but I'll give you half point for showing up and trying though.

Works well but it's a game i'm not drawn too, in other words even though i purchased all the DLCs and base game for a lot of money i still can't find time to play it. It's a good game but not really my cup of tea. There's many things i really dislike. Is it a shooter or a puzzle game? Why is getting around and finding stuff so boring. I always feel i've missed some hidden objects and just following the green lights climbing about. Another thing is the ammo system. I really hate melee and it's 100% needed in DE or you can't live long as ammo runs out fast. Maybe i need to play deeper into it but like i said i have 5 or 6 other games that i'd play before DE.

No I actually wasnt. This stupidity is literally what I have come to expect from someone who actually made the decision to purchase a Rdaeon 6xxx series. Since you wanna be the center of attention though... sure I was referring to you nutcase. Wow. Covid really did a lot, I can gauge someone pretty accurately based off their graphics card lol. *and oh Im sorry its DLSS that is spreading. Maybe that because it is 10000 times more useful than ...FSR...lol

@Sixtyfps - Yep, I played the game at 3840x1080 and VRAM usage was bordering 10GB, I guess that's why DLSS is needed, especially for the RTX 3060 Ti and 3070/3070 Ti, 6GB and 8GB isn't enough without DLSS for games like this at high res.
This happen to me sometimes with my old 1070. It had the power but in certain games like COD and Titanfall 2 had vram swapping which would get some stutter which i did like so you are forced to lower settings if you want a smooth experience

Ah, this is exactly the kind of response I'd expect from someone who's a childish fan who's obviously trolling. What's the matter, can't afford the RTX 3080/3090? Classic case of pot calling the kettle, not gonna waste my time with such an obvious troll, you're ignored.

COD is one of my fav series (my love of COD started with the original game years ago, followed by United Front), and I've just started replaying Titanfall 2 again. Yeah, 8GB is fast becoming insufficient for higher res + max ingame video setting. For next gen gaming, I guess a lot also depends VRAM (other than the GPU itself) for max setting at high res, I think 12GB is a good place to start. That's why I see forums where some are torn between the RTX 3060 (12GB) and the RTX 3070/3070 Ti (I still think of 'Ti' and 'Tie' but I guess 'T.i.' is the correct term), because buyers are undecided a more powerful card with less VRAM, or a less powerful card with more VRAM. Personally, I'd point them to the RTX 3070/3070 Ti because DLSS (in supported games) can mitigate the shortfall of VRAM in games with such support. As I'd stated, the 8GB VRAM limitation can be mitigated, but only IF you have an nVidia RTX card to leverage DLSS in games that support that feature. The GTX 1000 series cards (1070 and higher) are still very good for gaming, it's a pity nVidia has not done anything to uplift the performance of these cards. I have the GTX 1080 in my HTPC rig, a very capable card, and like the rest of its siblings, it's been left on the wayside by nVidia themselves. That's why I'm happy that FSR is supported by it, and I was able to play Godfall at EPIC presets at Quality and still net good enough PQ and framerate at 4K. There's more life in that badboy! Can't wait to try out RE Village with and without FSR....
