One thing that did come to my mind was back when AMD launched the first Vega card and they showed off Rapid Packed Math, everyone was hating on AMD about the fact that they want to basically reduce image quality to boost their performance and no one was for the technology.... Yet now we sit with basically the same thing from Nvidia with DLSS??? Oh no I forgot some will say that’s better because it’s AI and runs on Tensor Cores... Lol! No wonder AMD doesn’t bother with the whole Raytracing and AI thing...
Rubbish and reaching. AMD are implementing their own version of DLSS with DirectML (which is Nvidia compatible). All anti-aliasing solutions result in a blurrier image, this is how jaggies are smoothed out. AMD are also working on raytracing, especially as its now part of DX12.

Dx11 still going strong :P

I like when we have both api to choose. Time will come when dx11 wont be an option.

I do agree with exception to bold text. Result of AA is not necessarily blurrier. Edge of two surfaces will turn into kind of gradient. This describes nicely what I call blur. Comparing lower quality TAA and new BF DLSS implementation, one can say that it looks blurry especially since processing done is not too different from gaussian blur in some aspects. But even FXAA does very good job at not touching things where you do not want to smooth jaggies. = = = = For streaming I was using: - precise upscaling to 1,5x ~ 2,5x - edge detect and enhancement (which had reduced negative impact on surrounding pixels due to being applied on upscaled image) - color/contrast adjustment - precise downscaling back to original resolution This resulted in nicely enhanced image. Details in OBS preview were incredibly better, in some settings almost overblown. But it is good thing because compression tends to blur and lose less pronounced details. Resulting stream image quality is incomparably better.

Looking at the CPU numbers and the FPS it makes you wonder why any game player would want to buy at 9900K even if intel cut the price by 30%.

This game looks soo nice and the graphics fidelity is much improved over FC5. The optimization part.. what can i say about it really.. the game runs insanely smooth and the performance is excellent! I achieved 79fps on avg with my 980OCed to 1450MHz (light overclock), with ease using the Ultra preset without the HD textures because of VRAM limitations. Btw i noticed a small difference at 1080p but not that much. The normal textures are pretty good already no need to push it further at least for this resolution. Finally the TAA implementation on this game is very good i prefer using it instead of SMAA which is not bad but overall TAA is better for this game!

If you had more vram you would able to use hd textures and push those framerates no problem. Card have enough power but sadly vram limited.

Really?......a 980ti has the same 6GB as a 2060....please explain your theory. and let's not bring up the slow RX590 8GB!

Yeah i know.., the card has enough power to do that no prob! Wish it had more vram though 🙂 I tested it with HD Textures on but i had a little stutter because the game is eating RAM instead of VRAM soo its a no go for me! Btw i noticed a small increase in fidelity with those textures on ohh well.. the normal textures are pretty good also!

He is referring to my card the non Ti one with 4GBs of vram so next time please check better before posting something like that. And for the record! See below... (1450/7500 light OC Ultra settings TAA NO HD Textures 1080p)

OK!.....for the heck of it....>you do need more v-ram!.....not a faster card?......you do understand allocation versus utilization?

@airbud7 my card can go easily to 1550/8000 (+4 fps over current score), soo... its fast enough for my needs but i'm going to upgrade to an RTX 2060 soon.. (Maxwell served me well but it is time to move on!) Vram is my only concern sometimes in some games but with some tweaking its ok!

yea...I want one two.....fast ass little card....

wow, I don't think it's still strong like that.

Get a 2070 instead. It will last you longer. 😉

They don't have such a big difference in performance and an overclocked 2060 in a good price is the sweet spot for me! Ok the 2070 has 2GBs more vram but when the time comes neither of these two cards will be able to play games at acceptable frame rates anymore... and that will be a gpu problem not a vram limitation.

You now have the exact same problem, enough gpu power bot not enough vram. Dont make the same mistake again.

AMD Ryzen results will be added likely over the weekend.
Looks like Ryzen processors are not being tested after all? I am probably only one who cared anyway. 😛
