Will you get any units to review?

I like these, but,on the ek site it mentions rad thickness in two places in one its 28mm and the other 30mm. Probably its 28 like 99% of other AIOs, too bad its not thicker like the arctic cooling one. Also i noticed they'll be shipping on the 28th of feb. Small mistake there in the article HH.

Eagerly awaiting a review as im not completely happy with my Corsair 115i RGB Platinum....the pump makes a quiet rattling sound on quiet setting but still loud enough to irritate me and hums on balanced.

Yes

It seems that they changed the launch date to Feb 28

My H100X pump doesn't rattle, but I don't like its sound otherwise. The pump's a whole magnitude louder than the 4 non-Corsair AIO systems I've had previous experience with. I also don't like the frequency. It's like an old spinning HDD sound, but higher frequency. My Fractal Design R6 non-window case with all of its dampening material seems to do nothing to stop the sound. However, I have a bad premonition this is exactly like it's supposed to be, so no warranty would help me. If it had instead been rattling or whatnot, I could have returned it. It's quite ironic I decided to go for Corsair because I though it would be a little bit higher quality, even if it was their cheapest model. It's still more expensive than a Deepcool, whose sound was far more tolerable. I wish I had taken the Deepcool.

color me extremely unimpressed. i looked askance at the entry into aluminum rads from EK, this i will run away from. why-in-hell didn't they do copper aio's? yes, it's more expensive, but so is EK - across the board. no-one goes to EK for a value proposition, they go for luxury and performance. imho, this is exactly like when Jaguar damaged its rep for 10 years after introducing a Ford with a cat sculpture on its bonnet. they are diluting the brand like it was Mayhem dye.

Seems to be another asetek based design (with a crappy pump), then i would prefer a corsair offering at least warranty on the rest of the pc, if it fails. @Kaarme i have an inaudible (fan) setup without dampening in the case (ssd only), and almost no sound from the pump (H100i), even quieter than the custom 200/400 L/H pumps i had on custom loops.

I wonder if it's the same pump, just with RGB. It kind of looks like the same thing. Interesting how our experiences differ. Does yours also report ~4000 rpm in bios/HWInfo (or equivalent).

The ones with identical look on shape/mount are the same. Same with basically any brand that doesn't use their own (arctic/ek predator/alphacool). Heck, even my LC 2080 hybrid has the same (cpu) cooler/pump mounted, and main reason why i took it apart and wired the pump to MB fan port to have (some) rpm control and reduce whine. I think it ran ~2800 rpm, but sold board/cpu/cooler last Nov, so cant check anymore.

mine did an awful buzzing sound on the 9900k but on the AMD 3960x it didn't..the pump vibrates for sure a lot on my H115i but the mounting seems to matter a lot, AMD threadripper works better as you get a giant plate on both sides of the motherboard plus an oversized cpu case heh going to remount it on the 9900k this week we will see...wasn't enough for a 3960x it worked reasonably well but I had temps in the 90° stress testing and the rad never stops pumping out heat as soon as you boot it's clearly not enough for the cpu my H150i pro did almost zero noise btw the H115i is badly designed if you ask me (it's not an asetek on the H115i I believe ,asetek monitoring in aida makes everything crash with it) I have an old H100 it makes little noise but pump maxes at like 2100rpm I had a thermaltake riing 360 that failed (electrical usb problem) but it also made an annoying and loud buzzing sound the size of the radiator is probably due to the fact the most sold cases in 2k19 were mid-sized towers and you rarely get enough space to fit thicker rads (I switched to an o11 dynamic XL because of that)

Interesting. As I doubt I could return the thing, I think I'll make a non-invasive voltage controller for it, even if it's just a manual one. I'm not sure I want to connect it directly to the mobo pins, though, in case it suddenly wants to suck more than 1A. It shouldn't, but who knows. Looking at kakiharaFRS's comment, though, I wonder how much of the noise is due to the mounting method. I thought it was very convenient, but it's possible it's contributing to the sound. It's not exactly the steadiest thing ever, with it's two point securing and kind of dubious structure otherwise.

Didn't have a problem on either intel or amd, even with the difference on how they mount. Are you running corsair software to control the aio? I was running it off the cpu opt fan port, as its unregulated, and i could still use the cpu fan port for the fans, so they go by cpu temp. I would check if there is a difference if you run it regulated or not. And even id you cant return it, check with corsair and see if they offer swap for a different model, or exchange..

There's no way to control it. The H100X pump takes its power from a sata power caple, the fans you can connect to a PWM fan socket, such as the CPU fan, and thus the fans are controlled just fine. However, since the pump takes the 12V directly from the PSU via a sata power cable, it just runs at full rpm all the time. I'm not sure I'd like to buy or make an adapter cable to connect the directly to the AIO pump (or some other) motherboard fan connector because apparently Corsair doesn't like that idea, so if something went wrong with my motherboard, it would be my own fault. Like if it suddenly drew over 1A. That's why I'm thinking of placing a regulated voltage controller between the pump's sata power connector and the PSU cable. I'd need to adjust the voltage manually via a potentiometer or a switch if I wanted to adjust it on the fly. Some people have just made a piece of cable that adds a certain kind of diode to drop the voltage by 1V, but I have no idea if that's enough to make a difference.

Dang, forgot about that XD. Yeah, than that seems to be the only option, outside rma/swap.

I get between 3500 and 4200 in the bios.

No, they have not shipped any samples or mentioned further availability. Not so weird considering with that is going on in the world right now I'd say.
