Found it in global settings only
Can you set it per game profile?
Nope, seems it doesnt appear there. But at least i tried it globally and it doesnt add much input lag but it's there, then again i'm on a VA 200Hz 3ms monitor with freesync. but the FPS lock is not 100% exact, capped to 200 one game was like 196. Seems to be able to fluctuate
Wow, FRTC even seems to be able to switch and change while the game is still running! That's a nice touch. Never mind... input lag does happen on lower framerates, anti lag on even.
Personally, performance is fine, i dont know if i can still use enhanced sync safely as i'm on GCN, but performance seems good.
Shame there must be a bug with gamma or something freesync, because i cant really tinker with radeon overlay without it causing insane spikes of stutters that dont go away until i tab out and back into the game. Either that or maybe its hardware accel in Firefox and i should kill it. Hmm.....

Thanks for this! One of my testers has confirmed they see this with your repro instructions and I've filed the ticket.
Surprised it wasn't filed already but the Cry Engine 3 performance issue with RDNA might be getting looked over. 🙂
Possibly older GPU generations as well, poster has been filing bug reports since a few months back but someone from the Vanguard team managed to get it confirmed and filed so hopefully that will be resolved now. 🙂
EDIT: Well in truth there's probably a bunch of reports. Priorities and all that and what gets fixed although considering the length it's weird AMD's not even listing it in the known issues segment as it's the entire engine and every game on it being affected.
Honest question here as I am quite new to AMD (haven't had an AMD GPU since my HD 7950). Does AMD barely ever bring out WHQL drivers because they are too expensive or because their drivers are so shoddy they barely ever have a chance at passing the WHQL certification from MS? Coming off of nine years of nVidia drivers with little to no issues I can definitely say that AMD is severerely lacking when it comes to quality drivers which really sucks because this generation of cards (RX 6000 series) seems to be quite good in terms of hardware. The last WHQL certified drivers from AMD was four months ago and those are still the recommended drivers! Unbelievable.
I really want AMD to succeed with this generation of cards and punch back into the market like they did with their Ryzen processors but without better quality assurance in their driver department I don't really see how it is going to be possible. The sheer amount of black screens and system lockups are ridiculous while other persistent issues such as in game texture corruption (for example Insurgency Sandstorm and Disco Elysium) and stuttering (Deep Rock Galactic and many others) is endemic to their poor quality drivers.
Did we suddenly roll back to January, 2020?
Mott:
I took a large financial bet on AMD this generation and so far all my friends with 3000 series nVidia cards are having zero problems while I am having the most problems I have ever had with a GPU.
Unfortunately this doesn't fix the poor performance for AMD GPUs with Destiny 2 after their latest DLC launch (yes, I know it's Bungie's fault, but this doesn't change the fact that an old driver like 20.4.2 doesn't see the huge dip in the performance).
The Creator:
This driver (as all drivers from this year) still keeps GPU at 500MHz and 30-40 fps when I play Black Mesa (Vsync on). The driver 20.12.2 keeps GPU at 1000MHz with 75 fps (the monitor is 75Hz).
The video recording with 5.1 speakers configured system still doesn't work.
Try to make Destiny2 (or any problematic game) Profile -> then add Your OC there in Tune Game Performance.
Should be fine then 😉
Note:
Some games needs this (do not use Auto).
Also im using OverdriveN Tool to set clocks + HBM2 Timing Mod.

My workaround is to increase "Min Frequency". 😉
But I wonder why AMD sets so low frequency so the card can't run old games normally?!? To me, this is a bug. The drivers till 20.12.2 were ok.

Unfortunately, even setting min. frequency to something like 66%, the gain is just a mere handful of frames in the places where it struggles the most, and where using 20.4.2 drivers instead I'd get almost the same FPS as before Bungie launched their latest DLC. I can live with that, but people having RX 6800 or 6900XT cards are getting the same fps I'm getting, but they can't fall back to 20.4.2 drivers unlike me with my RX 5700. I just wish it could be explained why those old drivers perform so well...
Maybe it's broken for RDNA
