In regards to [GeForce GTX 1060]AV receiver switches to 2-channel stereo mode after 5 seconds of audio idle. Is this an issue with just this driver or has it been an issue for a while? Also why would it only be with the 1060 surely the Nvidia High definition audio chip is the same on all Pascal GPU's?

Solid driver according to my benchmarks. Nothing bad but the only good thing is some noticeable gains in AOTS Vulkan renderer - no idea why anyone would use it as it's still crap compared to either D3D11 or D3D12 but eh it's free.

More fps in BF 5 Beta with 1080ti and 1080ti sli 😀 Now it's supersmooth with bf1 profile and sli 😀 130-145fps 3440x1440 ultra 😀

No issues with these drivers so far seems to be stable and performance is where it should be! I'll keep testing them though... 🙂

I like them atm, so far a lot smoother then any older 398.xx. Dead by daylight, a U4E game, saw a lot of improvements., it was smooth before, but now its across all menu sections/transitions. Very fluid, I played 3 matches just to be sure.

So far these are a definite keeper. A couple of FPS across the board and smooth as silk! No bugs as of yet as well.

Very good drivers. Much better than the 399.07!

Glottiz:

Is this still going on? Unbelievable. I remember this being an issue when AC:Origins came out and again when Forza 7 came out as well as other games which I forgot now. It's been at least a year of this nonsense.
I think NVIDIA & @Unwinder are working with it for the upcoming RTX released date. They might come out a solution.

Cannot confirm that, I'm nor working on it from my side. The same applies to developers of the rest monitoring tools. Abnormally slow NVAPI call cannot be fixed by anyone but driver team.

These seem ok, just like every other one, I haven't noticed any differences performance wise. Been playing BFV beta till it will be shut down, seems the same as 399.07. Anyway, though no stuttering for sure.

[GeForce GTX 1060]AV receiver switches to 2-channel stereo mode after 5 seconds of audio idle. Do I understand it right? Does this only affect HDMI output? If I'm using a DVI and a dedicated PCI soundcard - this issue shouldn't matter to me, right?

Yeah, it's only for HDMI sound output.

Do you mean 399.07 has stutters?

Heard that the temps with 399.24 are little bit higher. Also on dektop. Like + 8-12° ! Can anybody check this please?

ViperAnaf:

anyone tried this with Monster Hunter World?
I did. The prior driver I was using, 391.35, kept my GPU in the 2,000 Mhz range almost constantly with 100% utilization. This driver keeps the utilization but hovers around the 1,700 Mhz range most of the time and often dipping into the 1,600's. Edit: Solvable by forcing "Prefer Maximum Performance" on the application.
