Just a heads up! For all movie fans try SVP (Smooth Video Project)! Their pack renders video @60FPS and it uses MPC as their default player but works with PotPlayer also if you follow a guide on their forum. http://www.svp-team.com/

I moved away from MPC-HC to MPC-BE due to subtitle handling issue and development running out of staff of it stymied for awhile, supporting xyvsfilter is a good step but they still have some issues with lav filters have to make sure they lav overrides MPC-HC. I might actually move back to HC due to BE i don't believe yet supports youtube's DASH playback as youtube removed the 1080 and 480 non DASH videos. Which is fine for 1080p videos as 720p comes out just fine but a pain for 480p videos from youtube as 360p is noticeable drop in quality.

Aha, i always wondered if a player/package existed that had this frame creation technique the better hdtv's use. What i see so far (from the short testing period) it's not as perfected as a good hdtv but works pretty good nonetheless. If only the sync issues were solved. Even reclock can only do so much. (especially with DD or DTS output) Its about time every single monitor supports some form of g-sync/freesync. As for the VLC player that is mentioned. This player is garbage. The developer still doesn't know the difference between 0-255 or 16-235 for source/destination.

Things been great ever since they use LAV Filters as their internal filters; I don't really need to update it separately. =b Combine it with madVR and custom shaders from SweetFX, and I'm all set.

hdtv and svp aren't using the same tech. svp is only software while hdtv's make use of back-light dimming/flashing what a regular pc monitor cant do, except the new Eizo monitor but it costs you probably a leg. 😀 If you'r interested there is some anitblur software on blurbusters.com for 120+Hz monitors only. The disadvantage is that the panel brightness is damn low :/
