Mohammad Hassan:

It is not working with Days Gone. Tried all the ways but had no luck. Switched back to the previous version and everything is fine.
Guys, it is not fun at all. I just paid $50 for a copy of Days Gone then killed 2 hours of work time (which costed much more) on verifying the report to ensure that everything works fine with Days Gone and current build. https://i.imgur.com/RUWhlRl.png _Please_ ensure that you follow simpliest troubleshooting steps Hilbert gives you on download page. He does it not just for fun and following it is not something too complex for a gamer. Performing CLEAN application install with full uninstall of the previous version with reboot (if prompted) is not that hard. Application is free, I'm not even asking for donations and will never do it. But I cannot constantly pay real money to verify flows of false bug reports.

Thank you. I rarely (if ever) use any of the advanced options RTSS offers, but I will be forever grateful for your continued support.

Hello everyone. I would like to report a little problem. The afterburner 4.6.5 beta4 has some problems with the latest version of the rtss 7.3.4. The rtss 7.3.4 beta6 works ok. Yesterday I tried to upgrade it to the final version 7.3.4 and i feel the entire operating system slow. Chrome and firefox are so unresponsive you can see lag typing. The problem goes away if you reinstall the beta6 or you close afterburner because it closes the rtss also. Maybe Unwinder could give a look. Thank you for your work. (Posted also under afterburner 4.6.5 beta4 thread)

Anyone else is having an issue with firefox being sluggish with this new RTSS? Mine is so slow, had to revert to the previous version to make it feel snappy again. Especially in youtube videos take a good second to go full screen.
Same problem. Are you using it standalone or with afterburner? However 7.3.4 beta6 works so there is something wrong in the latest commits.

I already gave it a look and I can neither reproduce nor confirm it on my side on multiple test rigs either with NV or with AMD and Intel GPUs. You're free to stay on older versions.

Afterburner with rtss. First i thought it was my pc, but after checking everything i could not find any issues (definitely not a ram issue or anything like that). I have no extensions on firefox too, so nothing can be interfering. Then when i cosed afterburner (which closes rtss) it went back to normal. I re-installed it 3 times (with restarts) and nothing helped, so just went to the previous version and it works like a charm. No big issue. I do like to keep my software up to date, that was the only reason i asked.

There were 5 more additional 7.3.4 betas released after beta 6 before releasing the final (beta 7, beta 8, beta 9, beta 10 and beta 11). Can you identify exact version which stopped working on your side?

Happy to help. The problem is present in all of them. I tried all of them starting from beta 11 to 7 and restarting each time. So i think the first build to debug is the beta7. Just for info i have a th3960x, 128gb ddr4 at 3600mhz, evga 3090, mb zenith 2 extreme. Win 10 latest, all drivers up to date from stationdrivers. Bios at latest ver. Gpu driver latest.

Beta 7 has NO changes inside RTSS core, all differences between builds are related to OverlayEditor only. We're searching for a black cat in a dark rooom I'm afraid, it is not realistic.

Do you think is it related to afterburner? Or won't make any difference? Should we test rtss standalone?

What version are you using of afterburner? What is your pc spec and windows version? Can you please try the betas mentioned in the post of Unwinder to see if we have the same problems?

I am using last stable Afterburner, which is, I think, 4.6.4 (Final). My PC specs are r7 5800x3d, RTX 4080, 32GB 3600MHz DDR4, ASUS B450-F gaming II, 2TB m2 Samsung 970 EVO Plus. I will try the betas once I get home from work. Edit. Almost forgot, OS - fully up-to-date Windows 10.

I think that investigating it further in this direction makes no sense, sorry. It is impossible to "debug" differences which physically absent between the versions you mention.

Ok, so done some re-installs. Got the last Beta for MSI Afterburner. Which did not change anything, last version of Rivatuner is still laggy. Then i tried some beta RTSS. Started with Beta 6 and it was absolutely fine. And then from beta 7 it is laggy all the way to final version. Funny enough, Microsoft Edge (G.O.A.T ???) works fine (which i normally do not use), it's only chrome and firefox that have this issue. Even typing in this forum has a delay with beta 7+.

Do you use OverlayEditor to render overlay?

Unwinder:

I do not, i do all overlay changes thru Basic afterburner settings.

Then it makes no sense at all, as it is the only module with differences inside. Bad luck for both of you, just stay on older builds and let us work on updated versions with those who test them in development thread. I give up on commenting this thread, it results in nothing useful and just attracting trolls like @Agonist and @fry178.

Yes exactly the same behaviour. RTSS beta6 works ok and laggy after that. Do you use any antivirus? I'm using eset.

Yea, ESET here too.
