The last few drivers have been huge performance uplifts in many games. 1440P performance is exceptional. They need to focus on general platform performance such as Unreal Engine's etc. Instead it seems that one game that uses Unreal Engine 4 suddenly goes fast yet another does not. So if they manage to code to improve engine performance generally they would have a better experience. I intend to buy a Battlemage.

thats not how any of this works.

they first do game specific white lists to new optimizations, then widen that to cover more titles including for example detecting a specific engine and using dxvk or 9on12/10on12/11on12/etc, and im quite sure they have people working on optimizations for ue4 and 5, drivers these days are stupidly complex, in part because gpus have become stupidly complex, i do wish they would just give us a toggle in arccontrol game profiles to set games to use a specific layer... be it ms layer, dxvk-async, dgvoodoo2 for dx2-9 titles...having these options would also allow them to use their telemetry to copy back what layers people are using on what titles, allowing easier creation of default settings for later drivers/live optimization. and, drivers take time to mature, the drivers have made major leaps since launch, and enlarge have continued to get better, im actually impressed with how often they put out updates... i am on an oddball setup though.. 😉

Drivers is where the real battle is won or lost. Drivers for me is a company's reputation on-the-line. The work they've put in looks promising, however, will they still support a product 7yrs later? That for me is the next milestone. That's what their competition Nvidia offers. Let's see if they can match them, but, yeah good work so far.
