Works just fine here.
It just opened in Firefox...but not Chrome, which is weird.

Most likely an Adblock extension you use.

I use ublock origin in both browsers, but maybe different lists.

I'm glad that they solved the lag on the desktop for the GK110 (thanks NVIDIA!!), also the games I tried as GoW4, ROTR and Hellblade go smooth and without any problem. Good drivers for me.

Shocking enough, this is the first driver that is offering an upgrade in performance from the 399.24 that I have been staying on. For other 1080 Ti owners, you should also notice an improvement.
Well...we don't all have 1080Ti's but I've stayed with 399.24 since I noticed a significant performance decrease on my 1060 with 4xx drivers. Will give these ones a go, but generally performance increases are very very slight and within margin of error. Maybe provide some proof of such claims when you make them? It would help substantiate.

Tried BFV with RTX and DX12 enabled, in Combo with an RTX 2080 OC, I7 8700K 4.7GHz and 16GB RAM. Looks sick af, but the performance hit is just to much. Playing under 40 fps with some small occasional stutters all the time are not worth using it atm for me. But damn good to see what it could be with better optimization. Menus are also slow as hell with these Options enabled.

Once the map is cached, the stuttering is almost gone. They improved DX12 a lot, but there is still work to be done. DXR Ultra@1440P in Rotterdam 28-65FPS with 8700K/2080. Visuals are nice but it's a no go for multiplayer.

"..But it's a no go for multiplayer." This is a multiplayer game, period. Sure there is a campaign but the vast majority of players buy the game for multiplayer and play multiplayer nearly exclusively. So what's the point of the 2080, 2070? What FPS do you get with the same quality setting, but without RT and in DX11? Interested in the comparison. I run a 2700x/1080ti @1440p G-sync, btw.

110-130FPS mostly.

So what's the point of the 2080, 2070?
30-60 fps is playable in single player. Then there's 2080Ti and future GPUs which might pull off MP as well. Having a higher quality graphics option is better than not having it, no matter if you're able or not to use it right now.

That's about the same as I get. I cap it @ 120 for G-sync on a 165hz monitor and it usually hovers right around that cap number. Thanks.

DXR/RTX is a new feature and every new feature bring GPUs to their knees just like tessellation back in 2011. As dr_rus said, frame-rate is good for Single-player if you have a G-Sync monitor and I'm sure that they will further optimize it with patches/drivers.

Try lowering the quality of RTX, to high or medium. This is the issue with new features now, all on Dx12 which is not mature yet and all on the Dev.

What type of clean install - Tickbox within the installer, or manual driver file cleaning?
"Clean" like in your thread. 😉 and i "cleaned" it myself and i did like always, yet my nvcpl didnt work. I did the "normal" bloated install then and now its fine, still...

The problem is that you are paying a huge premium for those RTX features. At least hardware PhysX and GameWorks, broken as they were at times (typically causing stuttering), were extras as opposed to things you had to pay over the odds for. As always with NVIDIA's proprietary tech, they come will a high performance hit even on top of the range cards. It just does not seem worth the asking price at the moment IMO but maybe in 3-5 years time when the technology is refined and the hardware is powerful enough then RTX might be a great feature to have (if it doesn't go the same way as other NVIDIA tech)?

No, you're not. MSRPs of 1080/2070, 1080Ti/2080 are the same. You're only paying premium if you're buying 2080Ti as an upgrade of 1080Ti and not Titan X/p. In fact, with prices being at MSRP level (and they already are here for example) you're getting DXR support for free compared to Pascal.

DXR is not "NVIDIA's proprietary tech" either.

Just installed a clean driver, all works fine. Perhaps you deleted a wrong folder? Give it another go. 😉

Nah, i crosschecked with my older "clean" drivers (dirs/files) and its all the same, so totally weird..
