Denuvo was never meant to be uncrackable. It was just there to delay the inevitable as long as posible.

Like I said in another thread, It will be cracked. Only thing that works is online sync with the server. Even that can be emulated, but does not work very well. Ive seen lots of different types over the last 33 years and all have failed and when I say all I mean ALL.

It also proves how much demo's are a waste of time and money on the pc platform as fifa has one.

Nice.. very nice... Go create a s..t game but the Protection is 10/10. Yes.. this is 2014-2015. I play 16 hours the Lords of the Fallen and my SSD is 100% to 98% damage. Now I know why... THX.

I do not know why they even bother spending money on drm. It always gets cracked sooner or later.

Not Even hardware key is enough, as HW can be emulated too. And honestly, many DRMs caused games to perform poorly, and it has been known that DRM decrease sales (in some countries much more than in others). Wise company uses no DRM, but instead kind of authentication like steampowered. It is not heavy, it is not that offending, it only needs you to be capable to get online. Only bad thing is, no internet = no games. But even on steam there are games which you can start without steam running.

To devs: make a good game and it will sell like crazy;put a DRM like this and ppl won`t even pirated them. Glad I don`t own a game with this crazy DRM...damaging ppl SSD is just crazy.

A DRM that damages SSDs? How's that? Well, with so little copies sold in China, the localization doesn't even pay off...

A runner up to Starforce, falling short by just 300 days. So close. Offtopic: This frontpage news post mocks paying customers and as such falls within certain select classifications. I demand it to be censored by a mod. As a paying customer I am always right.

I have never seen any credible evidence that Denuvo damages SSDs. Only rumours from people who likewise cannot provide any evidence, just repeating the rumours. Even the biggest report on this that I am aware of backtracked after further investigation and said they couldn't find evidence of it. Can any of the posters in this thread talking about Denuvo actually show it does this?

A couple jackasses starting a fear mongering campaign on the Bioware forum about how Denuvo was causing excessive writes on an SSD. They even posted "proof" of this with HD Tune screen shots. The screen shots looked convincing enough, but was rubbish. It spread to other forums and that's when people started loosing their sh!t. It was later proven that what these clowns were doing was transferring large files while the disk monitor was active to made it look like Denuvo was eating up writes while Dragon Age: Inquisition was active.

It's BS. I even posted proof of this in the DAI thread here on this forum. .

I might sound as defending the companies involved but I do not care about EA or Denuvo, I just want people to understand facts. Denuvo is not DRM, it does not restrict usage rights, it is anti-debugging/anti-tampering technology. All EA games authenticate using the Origin platform, not Denuvo. I played a lot of DA:I and of course it is BS. It's the same as StarForce, a bunch of people starting rumors and exaggerating facts. I think this kind of rumors were actually more instrumental in StarForces downfall than the actual HW issues. The only DRMs I had issues with are the server based ones, Tages mostly as they had sh!t servers.

It's a pretty safe bet to assume those who talk about it are pirate only players who would never buy a game in the first place, just reproducing this.. fiction. On the internets we call them buthurt self entitled pirates
data/avatar/default/avatar39.webp
Just make quality game and out of 100, 95% will buy it. Then you don't have to waste time on drm. And everyone will be happy.
Because of course - the message that piracy sends to companies is that their game is not desirable enough. :3eyes:

why bother with the drm.. it will be cracked eventually

I agree it only seems to harm the people who buy the games the pirates get a DRM free game eventually

A bit ironic. Doesn't like DRM probably uses Steam 😀

hahaha so true, but steam is cracked also.. so it is pointless

Legitimate question. Why doesn't hack proof software exist? Why can everything be hacked?
