How is the RT performance guys on AMD cards? 60fps at 720P resolution with RT maxxed possible? 😀

Tested in the starting area outside your apartment. So this is the heaviest area. 1440p Ultra RT preset 32fps 1440p Medium RT preset 47fps 1440p Medium RT preset + Dynamic FidelityFX CAS 70% min 100% max 60fps target between 50-65fps 1440p Ultra RT preset + Dynamic FidelityFX CAS 70% min 100% max 60fps target between 40-50fps (iq looks terrible here as the resolution is probably always around that 70% of 1440p min target) Tbh its not that bad really and this patch has massively improved the smoothness of the game overall. Although my character STILL flickers in a TPOSE when driving fast in a car, and textures STILL sometimes fail to load properly on signs and billboards showing a low resolution texture instead. EDIT: Normal Ultra preset 1440p 80-130fps I haven't seen it drop below 80fps. This in it self is a HUGE improvement over previous versions where keeping above 60fps was virtually impossible at Ultra preset. Not to mention but the normal non RT lighting in this game still looks fantastic. Only the RT reflections really adds any noticeable IQ difference.

@CPC_RedDawn 1440P as expected is overkill for RT on Navi2x cards. What about 1080P Ultra/Medium RT? Could you also try 720P? Thanks for testing.

That is unacceptable.

Well new patch may as well restart game from scratch.

Waiting for AMD Raytracing benchmarks and comparisons!

Again tested in the area outside apartment running around. 1080p Ultra RT preset 35fps (not much difference too 1440p) 1080p Medium RT preset 41fps (again not much difference to 1440p preset) 1080p Medium RT preset + Dynamic FidelityFX CAS 70% min 100% max 60fps target 55-70fps 1080p Ultra RT preset + Dynamic FidelityFX CAS 70% min 100% max 60fps target 50-55fps (just barely under 60fps) 720p Ultra RT is a weird one, for some reason I get ZERO performance increase going down from 1080p to 720p its basically the exact same performance only GPU usage literally halves to 50-55%. 720p Medium RT shows 70-80fps though which is above 60fps all the time in this area and even shooting people so the police turn up and blowing up cars and stuff in this area the performance stays above 60fps. Again though it seems those RT reflections are what RNDA2 really struggles with. As going from Ultra to Medium preset just turns off reflections and turns shadow quality down to medium as well. Enabling shadows back to Ultra but leaving reflections off the difference in performance is like 2fps. Might try testing with JUST reflections as these seem to give the best IQ difference. Remember this isn't extensive testing though I literally just ran around this area a few times in a wide circle and then blew some stuff up before reloading and switching settings.

I KNOW!!!!! I just wanted to test out RT and driving around within LITERALLY 10-20 seconds of me loading up the game driving down the street and BAM there is the flickering TPOSE of my character sticking out the top of the car!!!! Not to mention but billboard textures are STILL broken too. I drove super fast down a long road and then stopped and the billboard next to me looked like an N64 texture! I got out the car and stood there next to it waiting for it to load and NOTHING it stayed that was for a good 2 minutes before I gave up and just moved on. I think they focused more on fixing game breaking bugs with quests and getting stuck/falling through the map along with some more general engine tweaks. Honestly if you keep RT off and just use Ultra preset the game runs A LOT smoother than before. But its still far from where it should be Im afraid.

@CPC_RedDawn thanks for the tests, 720P is a weird one, CPU limit? how does CPU utilization per core looks on 720P? Btw is this correct? 1440p Medium RT preset 47fps 1080p Medium RT preset 41fps (again not much difference to 1440p preset)? perhaps it was 37fps for 1440p?

I didn't check per core I have overall CPU usage shown in RTSS OSD and its around 20-40% no matter the resolution.

In WD:L I had average 85 fps maxed during free weekend at 1080p without need for trash-scaling. But game is as interesting to me as previous ones. Will not buy it.

Perhaps a single core is loaded to 100% all the time? that cause this issue?

That part was from February, when the first news about the patch was released. The same post was now updated with the latest information further down.
So the latest information is "soon"? I mean I know when Blizzard say "soon" it means "nowhere near". What does "soon" mean in CDPR language? Especially after saying 1.2 will come out in the 2nd half of March 2021? Is it "soon" as in tomorrow or is it "soon" as in before 2022? Who the f*ck are they kidding here? This company is ridiculous.

Yikes. I checked your profile to see your CPU, if you're still on an 1800X I think it's holding you back more than you think; not that it's not a capable CPU, but because CP2077 is programmed like ass and doesn't make proper use of it. For what it's worth, no one is getting the best out of their hardware with this troll alpha stage game. I haven't tried patch 1.2 yet, but on 1.12 it was a shockingly bad experience considering I'm using a roided 3900X (4.25-4.35GHz, 1900MHz Fabric/Controller/RAM sync'd) with an RTX 3080 that clocks as high as they go. It'd be one thing if the game looked fantastic but there is plenty of hideous jank, like the mirror reflections, that no joke would run better (for GeForce users) if it was RT instead of whatever the shit it is now. This game should have literally been delayed for over 2 more years. Who knows, maybe people will even have access to video cards by 2023.
