So not only development time was cursed but also patching cycle? :P

They got a horrible IT breach, it makes sense they would stop everything until they at least figured out what happened.

keeping my fingers crossed I'll get to play this game some time in the future when it's patched.

@PrMinisterGR raises a valid point - likely the point consuming most of the time there... I admit I am presuming a bit but a hack that dumped - the codebase of ... like the game was it? That's ... yeah I could see that delaying a patch and I have a heart lol...

Can't wait for late 2022 to get the finished version of this game!

I wouldn't be so pessimistic, but I'm sure GOTY is out of the question! ahahah

since when code quality is measured in bytes? I'm scared.

They really should have pushed only for bugfixes first, then do a separate release with more content. Not only would that result in a much-needed patch being deployed sooner, but adding more content while you still have problems just makes it harder to fix those problems.

2077, when you'll actually be able to play it.

I hated Witcher 3 because of the combat, so disappointing. Therefore I had no expectations for CP77, because I simply did not pay attention. One day I bought it on a whim and am loving it. Sometimes I have to reload a save to get around some bugs, but overall it's fun and immersive. I'm keen to see what they will do with it. I mean it's in far better shape than Star Citizen. If you enjoy SC you'll probably enjoy CP77.

That did make me 'lol' for real, whilst drinking my morning coffee. You get a cookie.

You didn't like the combat in Witcher 3??? My gawd man, that was the best bit...learning the patterns for each of the (wildly) different beasts, the potions, the bombs, the crafting system, the armouring...it was a testament to absolutely deep and engaging game design sir! After a while, I swear my hands just 'went there' on the controls for crafting...'right, vampire oil, cast spell...roll...dodge...cast spell...big hit...crossbow...heal...more dots' it was great. It did become to the point that one could happily ride into town like the Mandolorian and deal with any contract, for any foe. It was very steady and progressive learning, wonderfully executed - which is what makes Cyberpunk so painful, as, the AI in it sucks monkey balls.

I'm inspired to learn about this combat system. I'll take a look after I have finished CP77. Cheers for the motivation 🙂

That part was from February, when the first news about the patch was released. The same post was now updated with the latest information further down.
