I like to watch YouTubers that are not-so-well-known sometimes, and this YouTuber, although only has a few thousand subs, has given what I think is a fairly well-rounded overall opinion on the game, from playing it b to e. A warning - this guy is from London, and uses very colourful metaphors that some would not think is safe for working-from-home, and also has a thick accent that some may have difficulty understanding. He's a nice guy and you can tell he has a love of games, so his insight into Cyberpunk is interesting. NSFWFH [youtube=HXsb6_dFfs4]
He may give a fair view, but it is from a very childish perspective. Name one game that one is able to interact will all the NPCs at will. One can only interact to various degrees with random NPCs no matter what game. Even in GTA one cannot sit just wherever one wants. Grant it there were fair points about missed opportunities for atmosphere but those opportunities have nothing to do with playing the game. It is just being able to project from within the construct of the game in the manor however the desire moves them. He even said he liked the story and played it all the way through to the end. So ending up saying that there is a good game in there but have to find it is not being honest with either himself or his audience. If he has mixed emotions about the game and does not really know how to feel about the game and that it was intriguing enough to play all the way through, he needs to articulate that. Feels like he is trashing it because that is the in thing to do at the moment. Do not get me wrong, there are immersion breaking things that I have mentioned before like needing to kill every foe in a mission that is not labeled as stealth. GTA, sometimes one needs to actually kill someone or fire the gun before the surrounding crowd reacts. The perfect game does not exist and cannot be expected to exist. Honestly the game still feels like it was rushed out but is playable for some.

Elder scrolls just has generic comments from most npc's if you try to talk to them, though granted you can speak to more than in cyberpunk. Elder scrolls does it the easy way though, where your character doesn't speak - would be way too much voice work otherwise.

The interactions are way more in depth than what one gets in Cyberpunk when the NPCs respond with ...?, what do you want, looking for a new friend? Like was pointed out, the number of interactable NPCs may be greater but they are all the same...generic wtf do you want comments. The fact about walking down a crowed street and the interaction nudging constantly popping up is one of those immersion breaking moments. They have nothing important to say but the nudging keeps popping up. One item about how unobservant the youtuber was, never noticed the time of day when asking about where everyone was yet was disturbed by not being able to do a wheelly on the bike...child like comments from a child. Also missed the fact that law enforcement is ruthless. Stay too long around them and they agro on you. Do not need to have done anything but just sucking air too long in the place one happens to be.

For those wanting a well worded and level headed "review", if it can be called that, then this is all you need... [youtube=Z-VZ781gp0A]

Very reserved presentation. Can tell it is a love-hate relationship. Sums up how I feel about the game. It is a really fun game yet can tell it was rushed out the door that gave it that unfinished feel / unpolished presentation. This is a game I want to say I liked very much, yet I cannot even though I have enjoyed all my time playing through it. Finally have a game that pushes hardware and is an utter disaster at the same time. The problem with the other commentary was that the person has not been alive long enough to understand what a dystopian view point is. The guy in this one makes me feel like he is a true-to-life Eeyore.

Cut and paste this into their channel for them to see - it wasn't my video 🙂 Also, you may call them childish, but their age and demographic is pretty much the bullseye CDPR were aiming at...not 50+ neck beards living in their moms basement

In you're opinion who is the target audience? where I live the game is rated R18+, so.... it's obviously not for children. Now if you'll excuse me I have some bandits to kill with my dildo.

That individual is not a child, is my point. That YouTuber appears to love games, from the few videos I have seen of them, and recently have played open world games, such as HZD, Watch Dogs (most applicable game) and Days Gone (which where I think the motorcycle reference came from) so, I believe their opinion is no more invalid as anyone with money to play games with. There is stuff in the game you would want to do, but according to them, you cannot - but the world feels empty and like no one has any depth to them, leading to a hollow experience. I think my overriding point on this game, at a distance; is they bit off more than they could chew and will need several years to bring the vision of the game into focus. You cannot create GTAV with sub 400 staff for 8 years, let alone 2 years with 50 people, 6 years with multiple directions and projects running concurrently; and that is proven here. The problem is bigger than this, though - this game proves you can make $500+ million from a product on hype and hype alone. To this end, I am (in my country) going to be campaigning with government to force games publishers to release a playable non-time-dependant demo before allowing pre-ordering for a computer game. "No demo = no preorder" I also am going to campaign for a number of other technology changes to hold companies more responsible for their marketing and sales practices. This game broke the camal's and donkey's back, and the only thing I can imagine being more disappointing would be finding out my son plays counter-strike with hacks.
