I don't understand this RGB PSU trend, the power fan is an intake, therefore it will be mounted against the bottom of the case, the top of the case or against a side panel, therefore you won't see the colours, or barely a glow underneath your case. My PSU sits behind the mobo tray in it's own compartment, and lots of PSU's these days sit unseen behind a shroud, so why is this trend even a thing?

I'm all-in for RGB especially for Corsair but I agree, it would really depend on the case, my inWin303c has my rad covering the PSU air intake so it would hide these lights anyway...

A lot of top end builds that use a lot of RGB are fully watercooled which means you don't really get hot air building up inside the case so the air inside is only a few degrees warmer than the ambient air of the room which means you could easily just flip the PSU and have the intake fan drawing air from inside the case rather than underneath it, especially as PSUs don't need a lot of cooling. That's without even getting started with custom, scratch builds. However, once again... What's the problem? If you don't want it then walk on by but obviously they believe there is a market for it and options are always good to have.

Based on the direction of the wording on the side I think they are designed to be seen with the intake coming from the case (from the GPU, lol).

Corsair puts labels on both sides. My OCZ 1000w Fata1ty does the same for which ever way you use it. Intake on the bottom or exhaust from the inside.

Although the sails logo on the rear is upside down with an internal intake.
