I buy CoD games for SP gameplay, so if they leave it out for BO4, then I've no interest in the game....

No brainer really, no story for the SP to write, no acting to film and edit, no AI to sort out, no game to actually code, just chuck out a few online maps and let the MP muppets get on with it, easy money really 😀

I too was more a fan of the campaigns in CoD. Though I don't care for the series any longer. Rather than CoD do this, I wish the Battlefield series would dump the SP campaign and go back to bots in an MP style game. That was so much better. They've killed what made that game unique.

There'll always be the Muppet Player Fanboys, err... Multi Player Fanbase I mean, that will buy into anything online no matter how bad! So they'll still get those sales, but as you say, might be a lot less sales without SP but then again, SP in most games seems to be a half assed token gesture and not worth the asking price for that alone!

Well, I am replaying COD:AW right now having good fun. It has new elements - exo-suit capabilities (almost Mass Effect 😎), skill upgrades, and even stealth mission (almost Deus Ex). And story is twisted enough.

It will be a HUGE drawback for MANY. Every "shooter" I play(ed) online - most of the Battlefield series, MW2 and 3, COD4, some of the MOH... - I first checked them out through their "solo" modes to see whether they are worth it...
