I'm willing to bet it will be received somewhat lukewarm..... unless they somehow manage to do something awesome like the Guardians of the Galaxy game.

If it's a good game, it will sell well. But I think people are a bit tired of super heroes movies and games, because the market has been saturated with them in the last decade.

That's true, I've read / heard it's supposed to be a game better than people expected due to it being a franchise adaption in the first place. But honestly, I was more specifically leaning in to the "reception will be lukewarm" mentality... so I can only agree.

Game are still somewhat underrepresented in that field I'd even say, since they usually end up being pretty bad. If game adaptions would be decent, people would not go in with a negative bias in that regard. But I do believe you are right, the topic's kind of over done, for mature audiences that is. Kids will still love their super heroes, no matter what, that's the very reason why they still sell toys after 100 years of history.
