Something i missed? Why all of a sudden are people trying to smuggle computer components through borders? Are they headed to Russia or what because that's the only thing i can think of that makes any sense.

Same reason black markets exist everywhere in the world. If an item is restricted or exorbitantly overpriced in one part of the world and people can figure out a way to make some money off that difference then smuggling will happen. The irony is that I imagine that the CCP are smuggling in supercomputer components themselves.

I wonder when somebody will start to smuggle PC hardware into the EU, since it's stupidly expensive and overpriced compared to the US, CN and Taiwan. Maybe South Korea's okay too. And no, I don't volunteer.
