monitoring on every corner, CCTV everywhere and people complain about this ? I guess it's a fear of something new.

Invasion of privacy for one. Just because I'm out in public, that information should be private. I'm not deeply concerned because I'm don't believe this product falls into the must have bracket, mainly because I believe the need to look good in the age bracket it's aimed at conflict.
Ironic seeing how UK has a lot of surveillance cameras. Honestly, if you're outdoors, there's little to no expectation of privacy. Under privacy laws in Canada at least, public outdoor spaces are not considered to be private spaces, therefore there's no requirements to notify anyone that they're being recorded. For me, it makes sense, I have no problems with that. However, if you're in a enclosed public space like an office or what-not, there's a legal requirement to have signage posted that you're being recorded, especially in government places. It's all about the expectation of privacy. deltatux

Well, the problem is more, you can "cheat " easely, the cam record what happend on the table ( poker, Blackjack ), informations are send to a calculator outside the casino and return the probability to the player. There's too a bit of privacy question, peoples who record peoples who will not someone know there are playing. ( wife, boss etc ). its not an hazard if most place who have annonce ban google glass are striptease clubs and casino .. Ofc no one of thoses "places" have really study the problem, they just think it could have a problem with their clients.

In the public, there's no expectation of privacy. Someone can walk right up to you and take your picture, and be within the law. Even if you say not to. If you don't want your picture taken, then stay inside your house.
It's also completely legal to beat your wife in England with a stick (not Scotland or Wales or Ireland) so long as the stick meets certain length, breadth and height requirements. If women do not want to get hit, maybe they should also stay indoors and avoid getting married. Reductive logic works both ways.:infinity:

Glasses that record video and take pictures have been around for a longtime already... Google is just a big enough name that more people are sitting up and taking notice now.

No not really. Stepping outside or getting married doesn't mean you're going to get hit by a stick. Step outside in an area that gets a lot of foot traffic, lets say, outside of a casino, and you WILL be recorded. Your chances of being recorded in business areas really isn't up for discussion. Like you, I'm not saying it's right, i'm just saying it's legal. Maybe the laws need to be changed, and/or better defined.
