Looks nice apart from the refresh rate. 🙂

Price? Input lag? Adaptive vsync?

60hz is not qualified as 'gaming'. A general use maybe.

Refresh rate isnt a deal breaker though. I rarely use vsync. Id love to get it and use it as my main monitor and two 25inch 1080p on the side for mixed eyefinity. But maybe a 21:9 2560x1080 would work better with 2 1920x1080 monitors?

As long as the bezels are super thin then why not?

What? So anyone using a 60hz monitor can't be classed as a 'gamer'? Wow, better delete my Steam account and all my games and just use notepad and paint from now on 🙄

No G-Sync? Really? Good luck maintaining 60FPS all the time on 2560x1440 with modern games...

Tri/Quad SLI should sort that out 😉

60Hz... that sucks.

Well I don't think IPS is going to go 120hz anytime soon. According to ASUS you can't consistently hit 120hz on every produced panel, so they end up buying a bunch and only a fraction can hit 120 reliably and it drives the cost up tremendously. And even of the ones that can do 120, the actual refresh isn't guaranteed to be consistent across the entire screen. I'm actually surprised they haven't started doing 96hz ones though. I would imagine it's significantly easier to hit that and my OC'd Qnix is pretty smooth, comparably.

On other hand for what purpose 120/144Hz screens are made? Are they made for other king of people than gamers? 60Hz is casual, never liked step from CRT to LCD on 60Hz I rather had moire issues than blur and 60Hz on LCD. So yes, 60Hz is for general purpose use (read universal). You can use it for gaming, you can use 30Hz monitor for gaming, you can use 1Hz for gaming. it all depends on what you consider enjoyable and what kind of content you use it for. (Chess only device does not really need better than 1Hz refresh.) As far as this monitor goes, it needs few more features for me to call it gaming. It either needs 100Hz+ which is doable with IPS today or adaptive-sync otherwise games will have too slow refresh for me. (not a gaming unit in my eyes)

I might get 2 of these to sit by side of my 30 inch 60 htz gaming screen........ 140 htz don't make you a better player....

I'm not a fan of the tearing on my Dell Ultrasharp 24, but can live it since I don't play that many games where it's a huge detriment; I'm also not a pro or semi-pro gamer where I make any $$$. However, I absolutely love the color reproduction & depth of my monitor which is its primary function. My favorite gamers are those who swear up and down by 120hz+ and then play FPS with a controller instead of M&KB...seriously?

Nothing Gaming about this.

All I ask for is an IPS monitor that supports Gsync/FreeSync/Adaptive Sync. That would make me and a many other people very happy. Because not everyone can afford or want a high speed 'gaming' monitor. For the vast majority of people who don't have a bunch of monster cards under the hood, they don't have the power to drive near 120fps let alone 144fps, and probably don't want to spend a few hundred bucks more for a gaming grade monitor just to eliminate tearing for free. All that's left that visibly maws our beautiful IPS images, is the ugly screen tearing that costs performance to eliminate.
Well G-Sync is automatically adding $250 to the price of any monitor and while freesync doesn't require the expensive FPGA i can guarantee you that manufacturers are going to add a $ or two for that feature. Couple that with $400 for a decent IPS @ 1440p - 27" and you're already at $500-600. Most gamers and stuff I know think it's crazy spending over $300 on a monitor alone.

You about that its not hard with a 780 on mid to high settings at 1440p to maintain 60fps i do it easily. Anyway props to BenQ for this monitor at 500$ Aud its better than everything else even Korean monitors at this rate.I thought BenQ just made TN **** but guess i was wrong will definitely be buying this for Christmas.

Okay I'm not here to boast, but those saying 60hz isn't for gaming..are completely wrong. Yeah sure 120-144hz would feel faster, but I'm at 60hz on my monitor and it's plenty smooth. 60fps is the sweetspot for me, and those same people boasting about their 1080p 144hz are only mid/low positions on the charts in BF4. I usually can finish anywhere in the top 10 just fine with the game maxed out at 1440p 4xMSAA at 60hz Vsync. It's more about skill than fps over 60.
