What's funny is LG was the only phone maker to support 15w wireless charging for years. Even my Google Pixel 7 Pro only does the 7.5w charger with a fast charging setup. Rather annoying.

so you're telling me im about to downgrade? my current v40 does 10w with an old qi pad, its quick enough but cmon

Its because of the optimized charging on the Pro 7. It can do 15w if you turn it off. I keep it on cause over the use of 2 years it can extend the life of the battery nearly 50%. Yea my v40,v50, and v60 did 15w fast wireless charging but the battery burned out in 1.5years on the v60.

where do you get that 15w number? from what I recall these old LGs maxed out at an advertized 10w "fast w charging" and thats all the phone itself will tell you, I've confirmed with an app -phonetinfo- that it does 9v 0.9a when "fast wireless charging" so thats about 8w and I guess they round that up to 10w, wired it can reach almost 22w at 12v 1.8a

Thats what it is in the US. LG was the only phone maker to have 15w vs 10w for Iphones and Samsung. And for years. Wasnt till 2020 samsung moved to 15w.
