It doesn't matter what they name it, it'll at best be Windows 8 with a start menu added back. I'm going to wait until there is a real upgrade from that atrocity.

When Vista came out it was a bug ridden problematic failure of an OS. Yet when Microsoft announced Windows 7, people reacted as though it was Vista with better looks but now the system is considered as the next XP. Knowing Microsoft's pattern of having a hit and miss OS releases, I'm hoping Windows 9/Threshold makes a good comeback.

Vista's problems seemed like severe exaggerations to me. There were driver issues which nearly wiped out within months. By the time I built a new rig all the problems were fixed and I had no issues with anything. 8 is not comparable to Vista, it's not just some driver issues, the entire thing is a sick experiment gone wrong.

+1 I don't even understand how to deal with windows half the time. *Invisible menus CHECK *Action triggered by moving windows to the middle CHECK *Metro UI hiding whole screen while it could be 1/8th of my 24 inch screen CHECK *Programs randomly starting as metro UIs instead of a window (ex: Skype) CHECK They basically made multitasking that much more difficult even for a poweruser like me. Vista had release hickups, 8 is flawed by design.

It looks like Windows 7 decorated for a teenage girl, you guys have to realize this. What a nightmare!
