Condolences to the people who didn't do jack and got lumped in with the rest. That's quite a big number.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I remember reading somewhere that PUBG was free in China(I'm definitely NOT 100% sure on this). That could account for almost all the hackers, if they can just keep making steam accounts and installing pubg for free.

Maybe spend 30 seconds "researching" something before making useless posts like this. Game isn't free in China.

I wonder how many banned with false positives and how are they deal with them
data/avatar/default/avatar07.webp
So they openly admit that 5% of they player base are cheaters ruining the game for the remaining 95% of legit players. Unless someone will make an anti-cheat system that makes bans tied to hardware configuration all those cheater will just rebuy a game, make another fake account and they will continue troll.

Only fines with real money can solve this problem. It is necessary to prosecute online cheating, not with arrests, but fines for damaging the product image and for moral damages to customers (yes, players are customers). As long as companies use the "cheater is a good consumer, buy multiple accounts" principle, nothing will change.

And that's why I stopped buying competitive multiplayer games along time ago. I simply can't deal with the fact that I don't know if someone beat me because they had more skill, the game lagged or was a hack!

Not only that you can take the game so seriously that it stops being fun to play. But lag and hacks make the game not fun to play in of it self.

Well atleast the developers are doing something about the hacking in PUBG. That was really killing the game though.

I think many of us would totally agree with this .

I never really got into competitive multiplayer games in general, sort of for the same reason. To me, it wasn't really ever that difficult to know if someone was cheating or not, but cheating was a major turnoff. For me, the biggest reason I stayed away from such games is because there is so much refinement in the skill that I just don't care to commit to. I like playing games where you need real skill to win, but you don't need to devote your life to be the best. For example: racing games, turn-based games, or "arcade-style" games (where the game is too simple to exploit issues with it). Also, considering how games are intentionally designed to be obsoleted by newer releases, I don't have an interest in buying a game that is primarily focused on multiplayer and will have nobody playing it in 2 years.

Back when I still had time to play with people, I always enjoyed co-op way more than competitive. Stuff like Borderlands, Gears of War's Horde Mode, RE5, etc. I don't know how anyone continues to play competitive, but especially on PC where cheating is so abundant.

Slow death to all of the f****** cheaters out there...
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/45/45709.jpg
I would gladly, and free of charge, put my c*ck into the a*shole of every one of them (cheaters). Two condoms, one over the other, to follow the instructions and recommendations of UN's public health department.

Weak gamers. Noobs without skills. Why everyone hates cheaters/hackers? It's your problem if you don't have what it takes to beat their @sses. Since the beginning of time there were bad people in multiplayer games. But, no one nobody never saw it as a challenge. That's my opinion and I don't take it back. Improve yourselves.

Either a bad troll or just a dumb statement. The point is it takes the legitimacy out of the 'competition'. With that said, I wouldn't go as far as to say I wouldn't buy ANY MP games because there are hackers in it. There are bound to be hackers in any video games, the best you can hope for is the anti-cheat does its job. I play MP games mainly - SC2, CS, Quake, Pubg, Division, Siege and more - at least 85% of all my games have been legit. Why would I sacrifice that for the 15% of games that have hackers in it?

@slick3 I am more than 30 y.o. I use PC since 90s perhaps I play longer lifetime than you do. So. I do not troll. It is neither dumb statement. I see humanity nowadays is tired and lazy. Why do you curse any negativity. These people want to play with their rules even if they are unfair/illegal. Ok. Why not beat them up to a pulp instead? It is like Pro Evolution Soccer for example half community bashes and curses idiot @sshole referee for being so useless. But you still can score many goals and beat CPU/AI even at the hardest settings. Stop making excuses then, really.

Rofl.. Have you ever even seen a cheater in PUBG? They speedhack at 100,000 MPH and autolock headshots under a millisecond from like 30 miles away and they can see through walls. This isn't a referee being useless - it's completely ruins the game. It would be like if you went to play a game of pro evolution soccer and your entire team just falls over and dies, your controller locks up you can't play and the other guy scores a goal every second, it's 50,000-0 at the end of the first half - you complain about not being able to do literally anything in the game and then i go "stop making excuses lazy nerd".

It's a bit weird reading the 3DGuru article on Denuvo then this on hacking in PUGB. Basically everyone hates hackers and DRM. What's a publisher going to do these days? I personally would rather have DRM than a hacker infested game if I had to choose.

Warlord you are either trolling or ignorant to the types of hacks going on. Maybe you are right about the tired/lazy but you are missing how bad a cheater with a good hack can make a game. I recall not long after I started playing Battlefield 4 a guy came into the server with a silenced pistol and killed everyone in the entire game with headshots from across the map(miles / kilometers way), people in tanks(yes with a silenced pistol), people in helicopters, etc. My entire 32 man team was dead in under a minute. You would spawn and die in the base(safe zone) in under a couple seconds with a silenced pistol headshot from miles away. So there was nothing you could do but report the cheater and go into a different server. There was nothing skill based one could do as even hiding in a tank in your base you would die in seconds.
