Seems odd the requirements are so high.
I'm running an i7 920 OC'd to 3.5 Ghz along with an AMD 295X2 and 12GB of mem. Think I'll run into any problems? I have yet to with any game yet considering CPU horsepower.

Almost time to buy Battlefield 4 for me, they gave me all the expansions already, just have to buy the main game. I did this on purpose because the first few months of Battlefield 3 were a mess.

I can vouch that beta was CPU heavy. Game was pushing my heavily overclocked 2500k to its limits. All four cores usage was at 80% and i felt that if i had faster CPU framerate would be higher even with this old R9 280X. If i had something like RX480 i would probably be bottlenecked even at 4.8ghz, lol.

The beta ran pretty well on my specs, not that I'll be buying this though anyway, I'll get a 6GB GTX1060 once the prices fall a bit, maybe black Friday.

Same here, nothing unusual by cpu, low 20-60% across 8 threads..
Doesnt look that cpu depended by cpu benchmark bellow

We had a talk about this in the AMD subforum. It seems that the game really needs eight threads, hence the requirement for so fast i5's. AMD FX processors seem to be doing well for once.

Got around 30-40fps on medium settings at 1080p with my system in beta, little bit higher in some places.

Those specs are kind of pure nonsense, especially when they say the minimum is a current generation CPU, while the recommended CPU is an older generation. :P
