I like the looks of the box. Not more to comment on by now, sadly. But I'm curious on what they will do, if it will go more down the route of a steam box or a traditional console, or Nintendo's line of approach... but I'll follow this, oh yes.

It happened that I never had Atari, but quite some of my favorite games bear their Logo and name.

I wonder what their goal is. I cant really see them release a console with new exclusives. so will it be a indie box, multi platform box or another re-re-re release of all their classical games.
It would be awesome if they bring back the couch multiplayer feeling as that's where consoles and obviously PC is lacking these days.

Im kind of interested in what this system is and what it can do. I am hoping that Atari puts their old games on it to try and pull people in because I am sure that there are alot of people out there who would like to have and play the games again. Then After that they should make more modern titles.
Well financially Atari has been though rough times and the Jaguar was a huge flop for them and it didn't help matters either. Also Atari isn't the same Atari from years ago so this might be different.

Seems they have seen the NES-mini and SNES-mini are working out very well for Nintendo ^^

I have fond memories of the 2600. I will wait however to see if it is just a retro box or they are thinking of making new titles and where it will be aimed at, I would love to see a console compete with Nintendo, Sony and Xbox.

Looks like they are still designing the case. A month after it was announced, we now have some Blender scenes that took longer to render than they did to make. I think they are just testing the waters to see if there is enough interest to continue. Even if it had the entire Atari catalog, it's important to note that some of the 2600's best titles weren't made by Atari, but Activision, Imagic, and others. I was into emulators 20 years ago, and honestly the games aren't nearly as cool as they were in the 80's(with a few exceptions of course). The only place I can see this fitting in is as an improved 'Steam Link' type of device(possibly able to play Atari games locally). Considering how Nvidia hasn't got their android console off the ground, and how they seem to be in a better position to pull it off, I don't see an Atari android console taking off.

Only ever owned two Atari consoles, the 2600 and the Jaguar.
I liked both of them for a bit anyway lol.
Can't imagine this will be that dissimilar to say the Nvidia Shield, but I do love how it looks.
