Will be interesting to see what the actual clocks are and how it can overclock.

Surprised intel isn't releasing a K and non k version of their gpu for overclocking.

Truly interested in seeing how much is left in the proverbial tank performance wise.... Be nice if these weren't pushed to the limit right out the gate. Left with a little headroom for us consumers to tinker with.

Please don't give them ideas...

They need to lock mining on hardware level, nerf it to it's bones in that regard.

Just like nvidia LHR, right? 😀

To be competitive and score well in benches, there is little room for OC'ing with todays hardware. Its the default clocks in benches that grab all the attention in benches and reviews. 95%+ of users do not OC anyway. HW manufacturers in this day and age know that and squeeze every last drop of performance for their default clocks leaving little headroom for OC'ing. So pretty sure whatever OC support Intel offers here will not be impressive.

true ! And i find it rather funny that they are going all out pushing silicon to the limits and it seems there is a trend and the interest on undervolting a lot more hell i am in for it ! So when Ati/amd and nvidia where placing on a more efficient spot the clocks with headroom for overclocking people where overclocking like crazy ...now that the cards get released so close to their limits ...people seem to be eager to undervolt and push em back closer to their efficient peak with minimal or no performance loss . I guess it seems like that side is growing cause overclocking gpus is almost gone at this point thought . @DannyD @Agonist @Horus-Anhur https://i.imgflip.com/5kr9wc.jpg

Intel has done this in the past because it's an easy way to milk customers for more cash. Nothing is preventing a non-K from overclocking other than an artificial limiter, but while Intel commanded so much power over the CPU market, there was nothing stopping them from upcharging customers to squeeze in more performance, of course, at the risk of voiding the warranty. Intel is still trying to shake off the reputation their GPUs had back when motherboards had iGPUs (rather than the CPU). They don't appear to have anything that will beat a RXT 3090 either. Meanwhile, the competition already offers overclocking, so, Intel can't afford to sour their first impressions of these GPUs any more than they already have (people seem underwhelmed with the specs, and Xe on Windows had a rough start).

yup and it'll void warranty instantly too we know what you're trying to do intel.
