I don't even know how this passed quality control/testing.
I've seen a video on How it's made and with complex 6 layered mobos all the components are fitted by robots.
As it moves along the line different parts are added then it's flowed until it reaches a testing station once all parts are added.
The mobos are then vigorously tested in a machine that has hundreds of pins that make contact with all the mobos rear solders.
They check every single port, temps and bios before it gets a green light and then put into a anti-static bag before being boxed.
Surely a reversed Cap would show up on such tests so that probably means there was 2 mistakes one in production and one in testing.
I'm no electrician but i know my way around a multimeter and a soldering iron and this would show up on that multimeter if you knew where to place it.
