I have to say, I think the Asus line up this year for monitors is gonna give them a dominant position, as they are covering the most important sectors for "monitors that do not come with pre-built computers". Dell/Lenovo/HP numbers are always going to donimate the desktop prebuilt market, but Asus have got some stellar products for 2024 for after-market monitors.

I bought ProArt monitor and it had really bad image quality so I returned it. That was 2 years ago. For me, thats enough to never get back to the brand.

I have somewhere in the attic, fantastic ProArt, 32 inch monitor. 2017 cost me about 1500$. Sadly, part of the matrix backlight break down after 3 years.

They switched out their panel suppliers a few years ago to AU Optronics (IPS) and LG Display & Samsung for everything else. The 32" Asus ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM (Easter) is using Samsung's QD-OLED and I think the 34" Asus ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM is gonna be using LG Display's OLED tech. There is another OLED gaming monitor due to be released in the fall, and I do not know which panel producer is supplying the screen, but if I had to guess it would be LG Display again. That OLED is gonna running some insane frequencies, like' 250 or 340hz...in 2160p. Looking forward to these tests from HH this year.... As for ProArt range the 32" PA32DC is still pretty respectful, despite being released two+ years ago now, and uses a JOLED panel. reviews are good, not used it myself, but still, a 32 OLED monitor for professional work with built calibration tools is nothing to sniff at...

I had ASUS PA248QV and it was really bad. The backlight bleed, the "black" colors.. I returned to my old Samsung which is now like 10 years old or more, because it was just a better monitor than the "pro" art. I also spoke with some Asus representative on FB and he was just like "meh" about my complaints. I just dont trust this company anymore. Their golden days are over. My personal experience only. Their Motherboards suffered from big issues and low build quality as well in recent years. Once the trust is gone, its gone.

Yah, it's a pity you were unlucky with that panel, because the stats and reviews are solid for Asus. I like the aspect ratio of 1.6:1 and kinda miss it, versus my current 1.78:1 I bought as a temp 2160p HDR until I get my hands on an OLED.
