Well it sucks having 550MB/s SSDs in everything then being limited 125MB/s by Gigabit LAN when moving files about.
I've been looking at Intel Teaming to get 2 Gigabit at least...

This is why i am happy my server has dual GB ports at least. Bridged them, and I get about 230mb/s avg with SSD transfers. Still not 10GB but still nice. 1GB ethernet is just enough for GB fiber I had last year.

Probably. What's funny is there isnt a single "gamer" feature in the marketing they just put gamer in the title. I mean come on if you are going there at least say some crap about game optimized QOS, have some racing stripes, or LED's.

(Home) Networks speeds are long overdue for a speed increase!
I remember having my first direct PC to PC 1gbps using two cards in 2004-2005. (1gbps Switches were still way too expensive back then)
But damn, it was a blast to transfer things at 100 megs /second! (Using RAID on both PC's, as a single HDD could not keep up)
(over) 13 years later and we're still using the same speeds. Uh.
However, $90 is still way too much for a network card, and 10gbps switches still cost hundreds of $.
This is far, far from mainstream.
Guess we will wait a few years more 🙁

It's even more useless for gaming purposes, since even 100Mbps is good enough for the vast majority of games out there. Latency is all that matters; increasing bandwidth doesn't mean latency improves too.
So, making slapping the word "gaming" on a 10Gbps NIC doesn't mean it is better for gaming.

So, does this provide user with noticeably lower latency? In the end ethernet MTU is 1500bytes. And games send/receive like 20~80kB/s.
Latency between PC and router is usually under 1ms and reported as 1ms. But then one has internet server latency 25ms and more.
My guess is that in best case scenario, 10GBps home network decreases latency for online gaming by 3%. Usually by 1%. Does absolutely nothing for latency spikes.

Are there actual benchmarks where this thing actually improves the ping? What are the benefits of this so called "software".
I have killer ethernet on my mobo, all I always did was to remove the software asap and just use the driver. Software was buggy as hell and caused more problems than benefits.

If you home infrastructure isn't setup for 10 GB this network card wouldn't make a difference.

cost like $60 per-month... but the real speed will still far below 10gbps
but again what gamer need is private-dedicated connection to game server rather than anything else
for gaming there no need more than 1gbps... except for downloading the game/client
but again most people still using 100mbps that not even pure, in high-traffic hours the speed often dropped more than half in many cases

network infrastructure is still "meh" i pretty sure few years back the us grant tons money for all this network companies to update the infrastructure in the states, but they all decided to give them selves pay raises instead doing what the money was ment for
In NJ ihad optimum 200/35 speeds for most part it stay 200/35 +/-10 if these got really bad it went lower NC I have Spectrum which 400/25 which is current dropping and have disconnection alot though suspect majority of the drops are coming from that puma 6 arris 1602 modem. I Still cant believe 5 years after the fact, these companies are still pushing these faulty puma 6 modems, and they all claim they know nothing about the issue with them, which is lie it it self

Getting 10gb/s NIC was never problem, its possible to buy dual 10gb/s based on intel chips for years for like $200.
Where problem is is lack of switches and routers supporting more than 1gb/s, especialy metalic RJ45 based.
