NVIDIA is currently sending around invitations for an event that will take place August 20th prior to Gamescom in Cologne. We all know that they have a bun i9n the oven, and 1 +1 = 1180 really. The event is called "GeForce Gaming Celebration."
HyperXannounced that it is shipping the HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro RGB gaming mouse. Bungie and Activision released a new trailer of the shared-world shooter Destiny 2, advertising a new event dubbed Solstice of Heroes. The event will run from tomorrow, July 31st, until August 28th, and will commemorate the loss of the City to the Red Legion at the beginning of the game’s story.
Game publisher EA next week will release its Origin Access Premier service. With this subscription service, users can play new EA games without restrictions for a fixed monthly fee. Origin Access Premier is the latest addition to the already existing Origin Access subscription.

HWBOT is now actively listing three new models Threadripper processors, they are named Threadripper 2990X, 2970X and 2950X. If we can believe the specs, there will be a 16, 24 and 32 core version each with a different TDP. 125, 180 and 250 Watts respectively.
German test lab AV-Test tested many virus scanners for Windows 10. The end result shows that there hardly is a difference in the actual detection rate of them nasty critters. AV-Test tested 18 different home user security products, 11 were rated at “Top Product”, surprizingly among it is Windows Defender (which is free).
A Canadian web store is listing a Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX processor and does so for a price of just 2399 CAD, that is 1835 USD converted. Quite a bit of money for sure, but for 32-cores, I mean that's value at less than 58 EUR per core.

Intel is set to release their Core i9 9900K late August or September, the new mainstream 9th generation flagship model has appeared in 3DMark, with specs and a score and everything.
Guess what? Yep, you guessed it right, one more on Z390. I'm not going to explain what Z390 motherboards are, as really you've read it all by now. But ASUS made a rather sizable mistake, their support pages are list all new Z390 models, to date unannounced.
Will DRAM prices go down in 2019? The chatter indicates it, recent capacity ramps by Micron Technology and the planned kick-off of commercial production by China-based Fujian Jin Hua Integrated Circuit and Innotron Memory (previously known as Hefei ChangXin) could lead to oversupply for the memory in 2019.
Edifier is excited to announce its partnership with Cooler Master. The partnership will enable Edifier to further extend its reach into the world of gaming. As part of the collaboration Edifier will gain access to the many gaming and tech events Cooler Master will take part in across the globe.
Some interesting remarks have been made by Intel during a quarterly financial discussion, an Intel representative mentioned that data center products will be followed by desktop processors fabbed at 10nm at the earliest by 2019. So, long story short, all procs for another year will be based on 14nm.
