Why we need bigger black bars on top in bottom on movies?

That's what TV's are for.

Finally. More 16:10 for those that do stuff other than watch videos :P

Black Bars in Videos, so what. Those extra vertical pixels count when gaming. I'm running at that res and would never downgrade to that blasted full HD. I'd go for 2560x1440 though, if that became a little more affordable. They'll soon do even smartphones with that res. Why the heck for those little screens ?

Good to see 16:10 isn't dead yet. On my second 16:10 monitor at the moment and wouldn't want anything else.

I love my 2x 24" Dell Ultrasharp IPS 1920x1200 screens. If i was offered 3x of this same display but in 1920x1080, i wouldn't even consider it. The 16:10 format is far and away the best i've used, especially for multi monitor setups. I was hoping that these new 16:10 displays would be 2556x1600 or even 2880x1800 iike Apple has made.

Good to see the right aspect ratio still being used is some monitors. Some of us use computers to do work and more space = good.

Interesting, three similar models. An extra 10£ gives you height adjustment and pivot on the stand above the base price of 229£. Another 10£ (so 249£) gives you an e-IPS panel instead of a TN panel, but you also get the pivot and height adjustment. Wouldn't the e-IPS one be much more preferable over the TN panel and saving 10£?
Of course, TNs are not comparable to any type of IPS. Even a 6 bit + FRC e-IPS blows any TN out of the water in terms of colour reproduction and viewing angles. For the longest time the price difference was in the 100s of dollars between a TN and an IPS of the same size.
