Driver May 🙂

Wait, what is this? Is it like a 22.5.2 preview? The SAM changelog makes no sense.

SAM is ReBAR plus AMD driver optimizations so they could have tweaked things a bit allowing per-game optimizations in addition to a whitelist and blacklist system. I am fairly certain NVIDIA has a similar function though more than that I do not know. This also follows the earlier Zen3 mobile SAM optimizations so this is not the first time for AMD though those could have been something like enabling SAM for Zen3 AMD 6000 series laptop CPU's with the RDNA2 iGPU chips since the cited performance figures were similar to the initial ones AMD used for this. EDIT: Ah. Those are probably meant to be 1080, 1440 and 2160 not all 1440's 😀

Dx11 fixed now? wow

Just played around 30 minutes of Witcher 3, at least 10fps more and zero hitching too. I used to use DXVK to run in vulkun but this driver has made DX11 not a lot better but a nice improvement.

Maybe part of the ongoing code cleanup and driver optimizations that have slowly been ongoing and while a separate driver also something that has been seen from the AMD Linux driver and commits that have landed recently for Navi30 GPU driver support. EDIT: ativvaxy_vcn4.dat And that's Video Core Next 4.0 This is a interesting little driver, not just a 22.5.2 preview then but a bit more advanced still. 🙂

Weird, Vega also not listed there but installed and working perfectly fine

This driver has all the same bugs as the Windows 11 "insider" driver, including random stuttering when hovering over links or clickable surfaces in Chrome, or the "typing" indicator becoming white in text editors. Slowdowns with window animations as well such as minimising windows.

Nice drivers, nothing special about them just the newest. I've managed to OC to 2600Mhz and 1.70 Offset voltage so it's fine

Can you show a video for that? I don't notice that when hovering in guru links and such

Hi @Hilbert Hagedoorn can you please host this driver by chance 😀, as it's really slow from the AMD site for some reason. Verry odd.

Idk if its me but this driver feels really good, no issues so far and performance seems good.

Same here, pretty solid driver for me on Vega. No issues experienced so far

The installation on Win11 22H2 (22616.100) finishes with this:

But after the restart, everything looks to be installed correctly and works fine:

I'll have to try this later with DA:I

Is that Crysis performance boost like a GPU bound boost or a CPU bound boost? I played Crysis Remastered earlier this year after its final patch hit and I was 100% GPU bound on my 5700 XT (at 900p).

No, 22.5.1 has the older DX11 library. The May Preview driver has the newer components and driver.

Question is if e.g. stutter in Days Gone is reduced. I found this to be far more of an issue than just lower avg performance figures.
