Got my 3900x 9. July 2019.
5% faster @ stock in some scenarioes in 1 year is not too much π
koniu
5% faster but 20% more expensive. No, thanks.

Yeah because Geekbench is all you do in a PC π

I'm almost certain that these will only be more expensive at first then later they'll replace the non xt models in their respective price brackets that they currently occupy.

Definitely not for people who already have a 3xxx CPU. But if you were postponing an upgrade, this is a good time to do it.

Hahahha totail fail , if they were sold same price i can undestand, but in POLAND the yare like 30% more expensive , what a joke from AMD. INTEL style .

Anyone else want to post the same thing again and again ignoring the common sense?
The 3900X got discount from launch price, while the 3900XT not yet. What a surprise!

We don't really know what AMD changed, do we?
Maybe these new CPUs overclock better. Or have an improved memory controller.
Launch price might be high, but wait a few months and they'll probably drop, same as when Zen 2 launched.
Just wait for a few trusted reviews, then wait for the price to match your budget.

This is more or less an upgrade for users who are still on zen or zen + CPUs. That is what vibes I am getting.

A bit faster at release msrp isn't bad. At the very least this release seems to have pushed the prices of the X models down.
