And what does plugging things into other things have to do with the technology advancements? What do you propose as otherwise?
Nothing of what you are saying has any logic to it so being 100% honest i have no idea how to reply to you adequately, as you are effectively saying that out houses are stuck using ancient technogy because it has...doors....where's the logic?
the logic is,: some friend told me he bought a new car and wanted to show it me. i said, no need for that its not a 'new' car, its got 4 wheels and an combustion engiene, so nothing new about that car. same here, they sell us something new what acctually isnt. its pre historiv ^^ . sd edo ddr all the same rambus was something different and now amd is trying to get a different solution. i hope it works well. the story is that because of this old tech, 4 wheels and a heavy comb egiene, that new car will never be able to fly, dont you reckon ? something else has to be done to it. something new. and of course everything i say imho, im not speaking for the industry or anyone else. ram speed holds back computing performance massiv. when this will change one day and the ram speed is fast than the today L1 cache on cpus, than we talk, ok ? there must by even more to it holdig back real ram speeds for us end users. look what progress they made over the last 25+years, tiny spedds with old tech. from cl2 to now cl 32 ? from 400mhz to now 6400 ? my question, would ddr1 run on ddr4 or 5 boards if the fitting is the same ? tech is the same, we were very angry to find out that they changed the ram socket only because to sell 'new' boards etc. more then once. ddr1-2 ddr2-3 usw. what about using the old chipset place on motherboards to put ram modules in ? like on graphic cards ? im not an eng. but it would make more sense to me than pushin 3 pin more onto an old tech
