Decent price for a DDR5 6c/12t CPU. Almost half the price of a 7700X (at MSRP) without being that much worse.

smart money puts the difference into the gpu - which you need as it's the "F" sku

Right, though considering the 7700X's GPU is still rather weak, it's not much of a loss.

This would be perfect for me. I've been considering building a new 1080p gaming system but with current gen, I already have the gpu which I love. Be a nice boost over this I7-7700 system I bought off an Airman dirt cheap 3yrs ago that had a bad MB and a beat up case. It was a prebuilt but I've replaced everything except for the cpu.
