The problem that worries me is the performance with RT on for the price. Higher raw frames means little to me if I have sub par frames with RT on. I don’t care if anyone says it’s a gimmick as it’s going to be used in many games so I might as well use it.

Pretty impressive RT performance without the aid of any DLSS-like tech. AMD has put a lot of work into these cards and it shows.

But then again perf difference between 3070 and 2080ti on avg is 1%. So all in all the 6800 will end up faster anyway as it's leading by some 20% at points.
RTX 3070 is 15-20% faster in some games at some resolutions according to guru3d review as well, so not entirely fair to say just because the 6800 as some areas it is leading by 20% it therefore will be much faster then the RTX 3070. Reviews, ofcourse, will hopefully give us a better indication.

Lets say the GPUs are actually as strong as AMD's own benchmarks portray them to be. Can someone please tell me why AMD would be preventing independent reviewer benchmarks to check the validity of AMD's own benchmarks? That looks pretty suspicious, especially coming from a company that has a history of misleading people on the performance of it's GPUs.

Mostly checked the avg from techpowerup. Of course the lead is bigger here and there. Kind of like 6800 being faster than 3090 in like one game. Anyway even on G3D on the given resolutions that are 1440p and 4K the difference seems to max out at 10% in few games. Else it's +-5% between 2080ti and 3070. And well of course we will see for ourselves in two weeks or so.

Because it's not release yet. Have you seen Nvidia giving that treatment before the date it's proper released. I don't think AMD itself has mislead that much before. People have hyped up things to hell and back for sure and they have been doing some interesting marketing, but I don't remember them showing numbers where their cards are being way faster or competition.

Depends on what product you want to see, for 6900 XT December 9 for the others, Nov 18. It's called a review embargo.
