I understand and like the graphic design of the card, but a limited edition box for a CPU seems ridiculus

It's Bathesda and AMD we're talking about, if those scumbags could sell limited edition branded bottles of sewer water they would.

You are making them like isnt any worse. There are higher tier scumbags in this industry.

Ppl forget about the same crap Intel and Nvidia, they all do the same. Anyone remember the overpriced starwars titans? Intel also did one with a special box tho I don't remember why nor do I care to look it up now.

Yes the Advenger edition that cost more than the regular one and don't even have the Advenger game bundled inside (nothing more than the regular edition)... lol

I like the faceplate. Looks fairly nice aesthetically. Now I am wondering is there a market for easy to swap out GPU faceplates like PS5 and console controller covers.

Blind fanboy much. Disregard what intel and Nvidia have done like that?

I don't know why calling out one set of scumbags would make them "sound worse" to you than others when so little was stated. Everyone knows about Intel and nVidia, there's no need to randomly bring them up unless they're being used as comparison for scum level.

Clearly you've never seen any of my posts since... let me see when did I join... 2006, if that's the conclusion you've come to. This product is a collab between AMD and Bathesda, so why would I mention Intel or nVidia?

yes there is a market, no not any business i know of. i would definately buy a different shroud if it were possible as i love themed builds and modding rigs. the problem(s) is/are primarily the wide variety of pcb widths, lengths, and screw holes - and that each model from each aib isn't compatible with the same model from different aib so that limits the market for each one while increasing costs. the only exception being AMD reference (as Nvidia FE is only made by Nvidia at less numbers than aib's), so this isn't like CableMods

Why people are up in arms about it? Is not like the normal editions will get of the shelves and only the new more expensive limited editions remain .... I neverminded such things from any company really ... On the other hand I also have not interest on em.

Back in the covid days a regular RTX 3090 (empty) box sold for $100 on ebay. God I'm glad crypto crashed!

I guess their famed 'new and improved' "The Creation Engine 2" does not use anything which is of benefit to DX12U, as, backing a CPU is nuts...cheap promotion I guess, but, a misfire from AMD. AMD needs to find some game built using UE5 and buddy up with that game for their GPU's, that would have more impact...as would extra care and attention for console developers on Playstation/xbox/switch. Wasting time with BGS for a game not even using the latest tech is very 'odd'.

It is pretty common to offer endorsed/collab version of things in the luxury goods industry.

Hopefully they will throw us gamers some crumbs? I am sure that Nvidia will always have a 3090, 4090, 5090... For pure bragging rights.
