So excited for another $1000 GPU. Can't wait to pass it right up!

I highly doubt this will be a $1000 GPU in today's market. End of 2022 is not end of 2020 where everywhen and their dog started mining ETH (+others), while everyone else and their cats poured their money into all the sh|tcoins out there. Not to mention the global recession, energy prices going through the roof on the old continent, severe droughts hitting the economy in the same place, food crisis related to UA, and so many more f*ckups that humanity has gone through in the last year or so. Tbh I will be surprised if they ask more than $599 for a 4080

One can dream. Still think they're gonna be 1000+ within a week.

Which is why you preorder as soon as they launch.

Nah, they'll be really cheap, since ETH's switch away from POW, and by 2045 miners will switch to quantum computers anway. That's when we get 40 gen cards at MSRP. j/k

That would be true if scalping wasnt a thing. :P

Scalping only works because of scarcity (too low supply / bulk buying of cards to enforce said scarcity). Could be changed by those up on the food chain, but nah, they like 1k€ mid range cards as well 😉

its part of the leaks, nvidia doesn't have a great deal of wiggle room thanks to actual radeon competition and the crypto crash shouldn't let vendors toy with the market rates either.

Unfortunately we all know people are going to scalp the new gen of GPUs because they'll be in short supply. Unless they just have a ton to dump on the market.

At least we wont have to suffer the gpu vendors selling nearly all their stock directly to miners this time, even if they denied doing so last time.

I pretty much agree with Astyanax here 100% . @Agent-A01 scalpers might break their face against the wall with so many second hand in the market and the still on store shelf's radeons and rtx cards I find it really unlikely they will be able to inflate the price much before the ones that really need a card turn and buy for much cheaper a last gen.
