Great to start to see wifi 7 devices already coming out! Now let's see if AMD decides to release actual drivers for the 7040HS series. There are no drivers that support the iGPU, nor the motherboard, nor the AI chip... I'm not sure what they are waiting for, as there are already laptops and mini-PCs that have been received by clients... Without the proper drivers!

Exactly! I've got this model a week ago and it comes with April-04 drivers v.22.40.03.24 which I believe some early OEM version. Neither AMD site, nor Acer support has any kind of drivers for 7840U. Acer support site does not even consider this model, there is no information about it whatsoever. I would be good with the current driver, but it seems to have real issues - fan curve is very strange, I get an unbearable "jet taking off" whiny noise when temps are only around 50 Celcius, and GPU load is 40-50% even for trivial tasks, like watching 1080p videos on youtube or twitch. Gaming performance is also underwhelming, considering what is expected from 780M. I will return as I can't wait forever for AMD to do the thing.
