Not too excited tbh. MS can never offer the level of options, features, settings, tweakability that 3rd party MPs come with. They dumb down their MPs to the most basic functions and will choke you with DRM restrictions. Its why 3rd party MPs will always be superior to whatever MS can come up with.

IT was always trash compared to any free app . Maybe that will change ? I guess there are many average joes that use it... It amazes how they couldn't put in simple features from many free apps . Like subtitle support struggled over the year ( not sure it is working now at all ) .

I don´t mind media player and i use it all the time but i wish that MS would allow to "stick" it on the taskbar like before.

Pointless. There's so many better alternatives. I don't see a reason to switch from Tidal (streaming) or JRiver (for my library).

Sorry, i didn´t explain myself properly. I know how to do that, what i really want is a downsized version of MD on the taskbar when using it, that allows me to change music directly from there. There´s an way to do this on W10 but it requires some tweaking. Thanks for the help anyway!

Most people are still stuck to CODEC PACKS players and VLC....etc.... i expect the new media player does better than the above....mentioned codec packs
