ASUSTOR has launched the AS5402T (2 bay) and AS5404T (4 bay) NAS systems, configured to provide dependable and proficient storage solutions for both personal and professional scenarios. These systems operate on the Intel Celeron processor, known for its usefulness in Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) and prosumer NAS applications, resulting in robust performance and energy efficiency. DDR4 memory equipped in these devices ensures swift and efficient data processing. As stated, the NAS systems come in 2-Bay and 4-Bay configurations, offering substantial storage capacity with compatibility for 2x / 4x SATA HDDs. This allows for adjustable storage configurations. A significant specification includes support for 4x PCIe Gen 3 M.2 NVMe SSDs. These high-speed bays enable the installation of NVMe SSDs, boosting the performance of frequently accessed data via caching or tiered storage tactics. The AS5402T and AS5404T models have dual 2.5GbE Network Connections, promoting accelerated data transfer speeds.
