The connector here in thee middle is the new form factor USB 3.0 internal header. Here you can connect extra brackets or other USB3.0 connector solutions. Connect say a USB 3.0 bracket and you gain another two USB 3.0 ports.

Let's move onwards to the left side where we stumble into a bunch of SATA connectors and zoom in a little. The motherboard features six right-angle SATA 6G ports which are supplied by the chipset and they support AHCI and RAID 0/1/5/10. In addition to the regular SATA III ports, colored in black are two additional SATA 3 (6 GBit) ports managed by JMicron which also empowers the eSATA combo ports.

When we place the motherboard in a nice perspective view we can observe the cooling a little better. An all passive design with the traditional TUF SaberTooth ceramic coating. on the lower side we see a bucnh of connectors for addition USB ports etc, also audio headers. Audio is handled by Realtek's 892 codec allowing 8 channels of audio, pretty much the standard these days on motherboards. We would like to see some more development done on the audio side of motherboards.

Slot connectivity wise you'll spot four PCI Express x16 slots, one x1 slot, and one PCi slot. The x16 slots can be configured as a single x16, dual x16, x16:x16:x8 and x8:x8:x8:x8 So yeah, the board has many features and hosts other unusual features alongside the UEFI (GUI BIOS), for the freaks ... it has 6 fan headers. All the other standards are there as well like the Digital VRM design, ESP and TUF components (tougher/better/longer lasting).
