This expansion card, named PCIe Gen4 Quad M.2 Riser, supports the installation of up to four NVMe M.2 SSDs. The PCIe Gen4 Quad M.2 Riser, with a model number matching its name, utilizes a PCI Express 4.0 x16 bus interface, offering a bandwidth of 256 Gbps. It accommodates M.2 form factors of 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110. The card allows the installation of up to four NVMe SSDs, each connected via PCI Express 4.0 x4, enabling the configuration of RAID 0, 1, or 10 arrays with support from Intel VROC and AMD RAIDXpert2.

To counteract the significant heat generated by NVMe M.2 SSDs and prevent thermal throttling, the card is equipped with eight temperature sensors and two dual ball bearing fans, sized 50mm and 60mm. The card's dimensions are 280mm in length, 120mm in width, and 17mm in thickness, and it weighs 296g. It is important to note that the motherboard must support PCI Express 4.0 x16 lane splitting to use this riser card. The product, identified as PCIe Gen4 Quad M.2 Riser Card, is anticipated to be priced between approximately $104 to $106 USD (14,580 to 14,880 yen, including tax), with its release scheduled for March 8, 2024.
