The Radeon RX 6650XT is said to be introduced soon to compete with the best graphics cards on the market. But it may not be much faster than the Radeon RX 6600 XT.

No word yet on whether the Radeon RX 6650 XT will use the same Navi 23 hardware as the Radeon RX 6600 XT. With 2,048 stream processors and 32 ray accelerators, AMD is unlikely to update the Radeon RX 6650 XT. Also, the upcoming Radeon graphics card should include the same 32MB Infinity Cache as the previous version. The reference Radeon RX 6650 XT features a game clock of 2,410 MHz and a boost clock of 2,635 MHz. The Powercolor version leaked Game clock is 2,359 MHz, while boost clock is 2,589 MHz. The former should rise by 2.2%, while the latter should rise by 1.8%.

The leaked Radeon RX 6650 XT Hellhound supports dual-BIOS. The Silent Mode adheres to the reference specification, whereas the OC Mode is slightly overclocked. The Radeon RX 6600 XT Hellhound runs at 2,382 MHz game and 2,593 MHz boost. A 4.4 percent improvement in-game clock and a 3.7 percent boost clock are claimed for the Radeon RX 6650 XT Hellhound. Predictions of 18 Gbps RAM in the Radeon RX 6650 XT were incorrect. AMD will employ 17.5 Gbps RAM instead, 1.5 Gbps quicker than the Radeon RX 6600 XT's GDDR6 processors. It provides 256 GBps memory bandwidth, whereas the Radeon RX 6650 XT supports 280 GBps. It's only a 9 % gain.

TBP typically rises with increased clock speed and memory (typical board power). VideoCardz was unable to obtain this information. The recommended power supply capacity (total PC) has been raised from 500W to 600W. As a result, the Radeon RX 6650 XT has a higher TBP. It's possible that AMD's Radeon RX 6650 XT will utilize between 170 and 180W. The Radeon RX 6650 XT Hellhound from PowerColor still uses a single 8-pin PCIe power connection, therefore the TBP increase should be minimal. Recent sightings of AMD's RDNA 2 upgraded graphics cards corroborate the May 10 release date.

On paper Radeon RX 6650 XT won't be a lot faster that 6600 XT.
